Well a new blade and some nice slick lather resulted in no drag whatsoever today. Happy two pass shave to welcome the weekend.

Razor: 2013 Version Muhle R41(2 passes)
Blade: Derby Extra
Lather: Barbasol Shaving Cream (because I suck at using brush and soap lol, but I'll learn eventually)

I don't normally nick myself with my Muhle R41, or better yet I haven't at all for the five last times I've used it but I got a terrible nick today. I guess I was going to quickly with using the razor :( I will go slower next time.

Proraso Green Balm & Splash

Thought I'd pull this cream out of the cupboard and give it a try - its been sat waiting to go in my 'travel kit' for a while now. Have to say I was quite impressed, lathered up very well and was very silky - end result, great shave!

Thoughts on the Yaqi Rainbow? Brown fibre and loft feel like? Lather holding etc?

Brush: Semogue 620
Soap: Squadron, Red Lead
Razor: Razorock, Mamba
Blade: Polsilver SI
Post: Old Spice
A mild razor for sensitive skin
He doesn't seem to have liked his shave and from the razor bumps the mamba was a good choice.
Be like shaving Mr Squiggles' Blackboard, oh hurry up.

Pre-shave: Hot shower
Brush: Thater boar shaving brush
Soap/Cream: Australian Private Reserve (APR) Skyefall shaving soap
Razor: Vintage Eclipse Red Ring
Blade: Personna 'Lab Blue' (5)
Post-shave: Australian Private Reserve (APR) Skyefall aftershave lotion
Fragrance: Australian Private Reserve (APR) Skyefall EDT

Pre - hot shower
Brush - Semogue 1305
Razor - Rockwell 6s (3)
Blade- Astra (2)
Soap - D.R. Harris Windsor
Post - Speick splash

Well. That’s the final time I’ll be using the 1305. On the puck, loads of lather started forming, but after a good 90 seconds and on the face, it buggered off. Couldn’t get any volume in the lather but went with the first pass regardless.

Back to the puck again before pass 2 and again, lots of lather, but as soon as the brush touches skin, it again fucks off. Could lather better with my hand, which is pretty much what I did for my final touch up pass.

Final result was a close shave which was more work than I’ve ever needed, and only variable was the brush.

Enjoy the weekend boyos!

Pre-Shave: @nsavage pre-shave, cold water
Razor: GameChanger 0.68
Blade: Ladas Super Stainless (2)
Brush: Tony Forsyth Platypus Prototype Bob Quinn Manchurian
Lather: APR Florian
Post-Shave: Alum, Thayers Original Alcohol Free Witch Hazel, South Australian Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Some truly stellar APR lather today which made the shave even more enjoyable. I think I have the GameChanger now fully under control - really nice mild razor, but in this class I definitely prefer the Guerrilla - for me more efficient yet still smoother on the face.

I hope you all have a great weekend (y)
