The finished products sticky

Finished one of these.
Not something I'd currently look at replacing, yet with time and evolution of tastes, it may get a revisit next time Aldi stocks it.

First tub of shaving soap finished! Well I’m calling it done as the remainder isn’t enough for a shave.
Very happy with the shaves I got from this one. Ended up with 35 lathers in all. I’d buy it again but not before I clear more soaps from my stockpile, plus I have the Vanilla Patchouli and Sandlewood scent already.

First tub! I know they feeling.
I was like wow, seriously. Feels great! That means I have xxx years of soap left now

Exactly, it was fun for the first week or 2, then boredom, but fought through and then in the last week, excited to be nearing its death! I learned it’s requirement to make a slick lather anyway!

Next will be some samples for a few weeks or so...

So excited to be posting here -

Of course the backup is in the house - but this can be tucked away till Autumn (Fall) now ...

How on earth can you finish a soap with that barely use of the splash? don't tell me about scent free policies, Agent 66, you know the big fish up there at ACT :p

Frenchurch splash of mine is quite more decimated while the soap still looks pretty new....

Not sure, the new APR soaps to me seem to get used more quickly than previously!

They are, but still, splashes still are used like in the past. From your bottle, Thats like 3 splash uses for me, at least :D

It’s done. The sliver remaining has been given up as a sacrifice.

When I started using this exclusively, it weight 80g net. This was 53 shaves to demolish so probably average or slightly above average use per shave? I dunno. This was my first hard puck of soap I purchased and I am glad I got through it before the bin won. I’d like to thank the help in here for lathering the crap out of it to get a decent lather. Every. Single. Time. Not one bad shave out of the last 53 was attributed to the lather. Good bye my friend. Until next time....

53 shaves = nearly 2 months (assuming one shaves every day of the week). I would have guessed closer to 3 months, so maybe a little above average usage? Any plans to get another DR Harris scent anytime soon, or after this marathon will you be avoiding them for the foreseeable future? 🙂
