This forum is very well versed in high end soaps so are there any users game enough to run the gauntlet and declare love for the Turkish cheap foil rolled "soap"?

I make my own soap and not too bad at that but with cold water Arko is giving me as good a result with a straight as I have always achieved regardless of soap. It is naturally not my only soap but I give it a good score.

Arko! is a great performing soap

Arko! is a horrible scent

Arko! is both loved and loathed.

I think that @borked has a secret lifetime supply 'just in case' and @eggbert drove all the way to Adelaide to top us his supplies a few years ago.

[OK, that last sentence may not be entirely accurate]

I fully appreciate your position. If I possessed your amazing skills at perfumery - - - let's just say I have no abilities in that area.
Arko! is a horrible scent
.i personally dont even mind the scent

It seems to me from many different posts across the interweds the scent not the soap is the polariser. Me I just find it clean and old soap like. I can say that left in an open bowl without a lid for 12 months the aroma remains :)

Scent was too strong - so I aired it out on the window sill. Now it’s fine although I wouldn’t buy it for the scent.

It shaved great, give it loads of water - it can handle it.

Only real issue for me is the post shave - it leaves my skin feeling dry. Less of a problem if I use more water but it’s still there. I suspect the pH may be a bit low? That’s enough of an issue for me to not buy anymore but I will use up what I have.

It’s almost the opposite experience of my Dove experiment, which feels a little light in use (although turns out fine with a bit more effort) but yields an excellent post shave. I’ll stick with the Dove for an affordable option...

I used to like you!

Same here...dries out the skin, so complete no go

You should get a warning and maybe even a suspension for this thread @bald as :D:D:D

For some reason admin has decided, thus far, to forgo the necessary action, which leaves the 'Arko ignorant' no choice but to take action into their own hands.

The mighty @Bucephalus , sorry mate you're now implicated, gave me a stick of Arko as a freebie part of a BST purchase some time back. I was deliberately avoiding the infamous Arko as my priority has been more the artisan fare but @bald as seems to have got bored early in the year and brought the 'stick' to the fore.

So Arko gets a run in the morning.

Some days it's a struggle scent wise.
Others there are delicate nuances to the scent, that reveal themselves beyond that of its infamous urinal cake profile.
A bloody good lather too.
And nope, I actually have none of it left!

Edit @Pbgoose I highly recommend after trying it tomorrow, to leave it in an open container on a windowsill for a week or two and come back to it.
The strong synthetic note that overwhelms most, should dissipate somewhat noticeably.

Was at a bar after-work and had to use the gents. Bam.. lemon scented trough lollies yeah-nah! I aimed I conquered and then shaked and left. Though that Arko scent just reminds me of those urinal cakes and a very generic modern cleaner scent too.
Arko ain't touching my face again. From what I remember two years ago it worked really well like most soaps that you rub on your face first. The scent is distinct for me and a no go.
But others do like it and it works well.

Look forward to your morning report (y)
