The next Darwin meetup has been tentatively scheduled for Thursday the 16th of May, hopefully well and truly into our cool dry season.

@eggbert @@Holiday @revhed @lurkerwhowantstostayoffthegrid (😛), I'd be happy with a return to Manolis, but feel free to propose any alternatives.

Also any interest/capacity in doing this on a weekend, or are you all happy with a working day lunch?

Thanks @astinus4, we are spread all over Darwin at the moment, @revhed and I at RDH @lurkerwhowantstostayoffthegrid in town. Who knows where we will be on 16th May.
I second Manolis. Keep badgering @lurkerwhowantstostayoffthegrid until he comes out of the "wet shaving closet". I know his collection puts most of us to shame.

Guys if you want another crack at the samples box let me know what you are after and I'll send those up to be shared around the meet up?

No worries @@Holiday, I'll touch base again after Easter to see if the 16th still works for everyone.

Very tempting Mark. I'll reach out to the crew after Easter to check if anyone's keen.

@@Holiday @revhed @eggbert correction regarding the venue - meant to say Kalidonis not Manolis.

Let me know if you want some samples guys!

@Mark1966 the guys were wondering if there any samples from the following artisans:

Declaration Grooming
Wolfpac
Squadron Soap
Mikes Natural Soaps
Wholly Kaw
Caties's Bubbles

Also @eggbert is after a Darwin razor, Kirby beard scalloped razor, and Eclipse Red Ring... 😀

Will see what I can find!

Lies!
I've seen the spreadsheet. There's at least one each of the Darwin, and Eclipse Red Ring razors!

@eggbert @@Holiday @revhed I've (almost) managed to convince a colleague at DoE to take the plunge into wet shaving. I don't think he's actually started yet, but I've sent him links to various web resources - including this place. Still need to PIF him some gear to help get the ball rolling, and was thinking it might be useful for him to attend the meetup. What do you guys think?

They seem to have disappeared after the box visited Canberra.

I mean the rules allow the courier to take three items ...

PIF = Pay It Forward

Was thinking of PIFing the Mingshi razor you gave me Jeff. It's still in the box and I doubt I'll ever get around to putting it to use.

Hi Francis, I planned on bringing a couple of MingShi along. One for @revhed and another for your work colleague. I still have 3 in their boxes. JR

Hi Fellas, I came down with some serious razor burn, pimples and rash over the past couple of weeks. I'm blaming the sudden change in season more than anything. As a result I have returned to Stirling product because they seem less irritating (felt better after one shave) and I am looking to try some sensitive skin products. Have my eye on Proraso White on eBay and TOBS Jermyn St from B&B and looking to offload some of my less used product to make space in the display cabinet. SWMBO only allows me two shelves. If any of you have sensitive product you don't use happy to trade or buy for the right price.

Really sorry to hear that Jeff. I’ll have a look but don’t think any of my current stash can be classified as safe for sensitive skin. If you’re looking to trade/sell some of your current soaps I’m sure you’ll find plenty of takers on Thursday (and on this forum of course).

Got some extreme mentholated soap if you want to medicate ?
Won't fix it, but it will take your mind off it as you will have other things to worry about.
