Received an email update about this being available from James (Knives and Stones, St Peters in Sydney)

I don't think I'd purchase this given I've never had a straight razor shave outside of my barbershop - and she uses shavettes - but thought I'd post this here in case others are interested.

*I have no affiliation with K&S other than being a repeat customer for kitchen knives*

James is a top bloke. And Iwasaki is the top Japanese razor maker. I have several of his.

Didn’t know there were other kitchen knives people here

The Iwasaki are meant to be the pinnacle of Kamisori manufacture and collectability,
Can’t vouch for the price or the rock myself, but there are a few different specs & sizes they are made to, the top being full Tamahagane made by Mr Iwasaki san himself
I believe some are from his shop but not by him directly, but don’t take that as gospel from me,

@Jamie could possibly confirm or elaborate this info?

Iwasaki san has conked it I believe. Current Iwasaki are from his apprentice as is this one. Vintage western razors from Iwasaki are toggle territory if you know what I mean. They are extremely refined

Man, I miss my straights. Not enough time to enjoy them these days.
