Wolfman open for sales?

When it comes to Wolfman I just trust James and his initial plate release. On all his other 3 models (BBS-1, WR1, Guerilla) the initial (and in 2 cases only) blade gaps just work brilliantly - so I know the initial (0.95) WR2 will also work brilliantly. All the discussions about larger blade gaps just bore me...

@Blackie should we really all get one you deserve the enabler of the decade award in my books :D

Trying not to have a go at you mate but subtle it is. :)
IMO these discussions add to the forum and solicit comments like @Errol which add value to the topic.
Agree with @Korbz on the performance of the 0.95 plate. Be careful reading too many reports on Wolfman razors. There seems to be a bunch of Cowboys out there trying to show just how macho they are by quoting the biggest numbers that they use for daily use and it would be easy to get caught up in their little game at your expense. You may use and need an aggressive razor but I’d recommend dropping your plate selection by one notch or maybe even two. From my experience with Wolfman there is a noticeable gap between plates.
Though on the other hand (y)

Totally agree, he nailed the Guerrilla for me and his first outing with the BBS-1 speaks volumes.
@alfredus since you volunteered ;) what is a safer or milder gap under the standard 0.95 that is still efficient and smoother please?

I will not buy a wolfie until I try it. Maybe the wr1 pass soured me on it but I have better shavers.

Need to say thanks to @todras for being so generous and letting me have a go. Saved me a couple of bucks and disappointment later on.

TBH no idea - I don't even know anyone, who/if anyone has a milder one. I am pretty certain the 0.95 is the best blade gap for the WR2, since it is the initial one offered by James ;)

I'm on the fence too, tainted by the RS-10 and the reviews are more positive on that than the Wolfie. So guess I'm out this round again. Maybe the Seygus Zep V2 has my name on it @Rami

You the guys on the list I hope it is a smooth transition and timely. If I had the choice it would be the WR2 standard gap without a doubt.

I think you would do well to put your name down for a WR2 - .95 Gap - Open Comb. If you didn’t like it I know someone who would take it off your hands.

What do you think

A further update is now on the Wolfman website.
Do we know exactly when this form process began? Our timezone here may benefit us if we are lucky!

I've been wondering when you would pop your head up into this thread...

Are you sure you wouldn't just get one and have James remove the safety bar completely??

lol.... if i didnt have the timeless it would be a no brainer

i have been giving it serious thought, but i am that so happy with the my All Star team of the JAWS, R41 and timeless i have no RAD and cant justify spending the extra $$ at this point in time... Cured RAD is that even possible??

I agree, it bores me shitless.

For 98% of people here I would recommend the standard gap on the WR2, its incredibly efficient and comfortable for everyday use. The more aggressive gaps will give people issues especially if they are not used to James razors.

@tim33z

after all my huffin and puffin, the big bad WOLF blew me house down.....

after the haze lifted i saw the light and ordered a wolfie :)

WR2 head.. OC.. 0.95 gap.. WRH7 handle (still considering WRH2) , 90 mm

Congrats. Hope this cures your curiosity!

out of curiosity, what is the difference between the WR1 and WR2 heads?

Well they are worlds apart, the WR2 head is a refined version of the BBS1 head - possibly the smoothest, most efficient razor ever created.

The WR1 is more of a workhorse, it's a good razor but the BBS1/WR2 are much better.

My advice is if you have the opportunity to buy a WR2, go for the solid bar and standard gap and you have one heck of a superb razor. Go wild with the handle/finish and so forth ofc.
