As we in Australia look like we are starting to come out of the COVID-19 restrictions does that mean a loosening of the purse strings as well?

I used to feel the same and it has taken a lot of practice to do a full face shave. There is def an art to it and a lot is learnt using a de razor. I am still not comfortable and that is a good thing cause it keeps me focussed, but like anything the more you do it the more wisdom and skill you gain. I still have much to learn. Yes the scales on that blade are abalone. It is a beautiful razor and becoming a favourite.

Coticules arrived today and first attempt at honing

The razor came cheap off Gumtree with a strop. Was not shave ready but got it removing hairs. Left hand has no hairs from pinky knuckle to wrist.
Not hanging hair sharp though. Will see how she shaves on Saturday. Not gonna touch the Dubl Duck until mastered honing with other non functioning razors.
 
Well I got a parcel in the post today from WA it is a cigar box to store my straights in. This one is perfect as it has a tray in it to separate the cigar tubes that the cigars came in. Am happy as with it! and it looks the goods too! Perfect storage for 8 straights.😀




 
Did anyone here win the Potosi (Craig & Aitken) razor on ebay recently?

Was a plum model, $36, had seen better days. Bit of history though :)

Woo. Mail came in today - stepped out to get a coffee at lunch time and this was waiting for me on the step when I got back to the house.

It's big, it's soft and so much better than what I was used to.

Here's a comparison between the Body Shop and the Yaqi.
