@Razor Burn You‘re right about the quality of the Smart Helix product and I’m pleased that the razor I recommend is so well supported. One question though. Did the head come in that birch box? If it did, I’m really impressed.
I was half expecting to receive an envelope with the top cap & flipable plate but was surprised to see a well packaged box. Opened it up and was blown away to see the lovely wooden box that they offer on the website when you buy the extras for $130 USD!
They had no reason to do this considering it was my carelessness but it shows that customer service and presentation make lasting impressions! Thanks again for convincing me to give them a try as the razor is an underrated winner! (y)
If only @Nico was active to back me up as it was his lend that swayed me to take a gamble and it paid off...

Had a surprise waiting for me at the post office today.
I don't usually do unboxing but this deserves recognition
Thought one of the girls had bought some perfume or jewelry from Tiffany & Co.

The seller obviously took enough pride to ensure it travelled first class

It really is a lovely brush isn't it?

The Tiffany box was for my wife's glasses actually, go figure, and while a box in a box might seem like overkill - who would want to get their Simpson brush box damaged right?

Kudos for a change to AusPost too! Posted Express Post from Canberra Monday and arrives in Darwin ready for collection on Thursday - pretty decent really.

Enjoy @Holiday - a mighty fine collection of kit you are acquiring!

Great stuff @Razor Burn. Smart Helix have always advised that their cap and plate were a matched set and if there was warranty that both parts had to be returned. They are putting their money where their mouth is. Does anyone have a condition report on how my old confidant @Nico is travelling?

That explains things and the team at Smart Helix have been super engaging and helpful in rectifying the issues.
Sadly no news from @Nico but if he's following we wish him all the best and miss his contribution to the forum. (y)

Yes, @Nico if you jump on P&C at all, know that we're thinking of you and missing you on the forum. Hope you're going OK.

Cheers @klinker I noticed you are still actively using S1 and posting in SOTD. Can't be too bad :)

Thanks for the heads up @Razor Burn jumped online and watched the videos. @Tony Forsyth nailed it (y):)(y).

I figured it was for you when Tony showed a picture of the Green one and mentioned it was for a previous customer. Both lovely designs and the gold compliments the burl, medallion & 2 band knot nicely! It should look nice in your ever expanding brush collection ;)
Happy Shaves! :)

Thanks mate, a couple of butterscotch handles reknotted with Rhodium knots and I'll sit back and enjoy for a while. Maybe move a few of the bigger knots on to make some room.

No sabbatical or AD cured, just enough for now. There will always be a bargain I cannot pass, razor, scent or base I must try

Somebody mentioned during the stream there was a delay as Srdjan was having supply issues so sad if true but well worth an investment as Rhodium knots are top notch and you're supporting a local artisan in the process. (y)

Unbelievable service when an eBay seller personally delivers on a Sunday and refunds your shipping:eek:

He dropped off this late 20's Gold New Improved tuckaway in case. Whilst the case has seen better days and the blade bank is missing im not complaining. After a short buff with just a cloth it came up acceptable. Used it in tonights shave. The short handle is more than adequate and the weight of the handle carries a fair heft. Not as bitey as expected and smooth easy shave. This could be my new travel razor...when it returns in 2031....
