Here's the response to my latest status query:
"
Sorry for the late shipping! I know this is frustrating.
We did check with most of carriers but they refuse to ship "Blades" as it is a "dangerous items" and the only possible way to ship it is through our local post that has no issue to ship it out.
We did not find a way to ship directly to Australia so we ship a small inventory to China. from there they'll ship all Australian orders
Here's the tracking of the package (To China) : "

Good luck with that.

To China and then from China?

OK, might be time to cancel my order :(

If I'm not wrong I swear I read on another forum that the Wizablades guy was also selling blades via New York, USA?
If so, surely it would be easier redirecting supplies from there instead of China as its going to be quicker...?
I always had a strong suspicion that it was the same bloke using various alias' selling these blades with mixed results!?
Good luck to those awaiting their orders. (y)

You are not wrong @Razor Burn

Only reason the last lot of orders went through was because of all the negative exposure that we as forum members made.

The excuses about the razor blades being dangerous goods is Absolute BS Someone doesn't want to pay DHL, Fedex or Aramex rates, that is the truth !!!!

I won't name names BUT !!!

Wizashave is the only place I'd suggest for wizamet blades.

Simo is great to deal with and blades are sent fully tracked. I got 2K blades a couple of months back with zero issues.

Pretty sure that is the vendor people are talking about on this thread.

Here’s the update I got from Wiza-Shave last week to an order I placed early December:

All packages that we ship to Australia are delivered by Royal Mail (UK POST) and due to the brexit and new laws packages may take too long to get delivered. We are working to have an Asian fullfilment agent who can ship to all asian countries and Australia. You can wait sometime to see if there will be any updates about the package or if we can send a replacement from an Asian country. If you prefer to get a full refund we can also do that.”

I took them up on the refund. Any vendor who doesn’t have a viable and dependable international shipping method in place, shouldn’t be accepting international orders IMO.

Yep I think we are all talking about Wizashave (https://wizashave.com/) which does indeed indicated that they have a fulfilment center in New York (https://wizashave.com/pages/shipping-policy)

I ordered on 3 January, last chased on 31 January where the response was -

"We used an express shipping method to Australia to our fulfillment agent overthere but it still not moving.
after checking with the local post they told us that international shipping is not available to some countries (UK, Australia,...)

We are working on this shipping issues, if you can not wait anymore we can offer a full refund and let you know when we have a small inventory in Australia."

I'd previously been told -

"Sorry for the late shipping! this is due to holidays and strike among Post office stuff in our country (Morocco)

Your order will be shipped as soon as possible (hopefully this week) by express shipping to our fulfillment agent in Australia

From there it will be shipped to you by AusPost."

The holidays and postal strike in Morocco was correct.

I've chased them again today suggesting that my order be fulfilled from the NY centre. If not I'll just get a refund. Not like I don't have enough blades ...

Maybe we should all order through @nav1

Oh, my bad!

I thought it was wizablades, not wizashave (I haven't visited this thread for a long time).

In that case, there might just be a real issue with shipping to Australia as I'm currently living abroad and received my 2K blades via DHL express in under 2 weeks.

The blades are genuine, not knock offs.

All good mate, in the other thread I think that there was a combination of purchases from both.

I think that we were all happy to pay a little more for the reliability that Wizashave previously provided ...

I've invited one of the two companies to join here as a vendor in order to offer a group buy/forum special price, which matched the price of the other company
AFAIK that has not happened to date, yet it could simply be a time thing.
I hope that he does join and offers the deal to members directly upon the forum for the ease of all involved.

If it walks like a duck, sounds like a duck.... it's most probably a...duck.

I've wanted to order a number of times but lacked the confidence in any vendor to go ahead.

The vendor is very aware of this forum and particularly any negative comments. Unfortunately this vendor won't speak publicly, changes names and emails on a whim, and whispers through emails if he feels negativity in comments.

Caveat Emptor.

I am happy to wait it out for this vendor, he came good with bulk order delivered through Tim at this thread
https://paste-and-cut.com.au/commun...-shaving-acquisitions-thread.6323/post-166735
Ordered 17 July and delivered 22 September
He may not have the best customer services or communications but does appear legit
Always have PayPal insurance, if not.
I agree somewhat as in the end we all received our orders but what still buggers me is the mixed messaging, happiness to take $$$ and poor communication. Yes delays happen, Covid is real but just be honest and state you don't ship to AUS prior to taking peoples $$$.
Also the different email addresses when communicating is a dead give away for something dodgy but then again the blades we received are legit so shouldn't really complain! Doesn't excuse things and negative press certainly helped so here's hoping the current orders get shipped quickly for those still waiting.
My only regret is not getting 1,000 in one go as they pair perfectly with my favourite razors so if we managed to arrange a Group Buy I'd happily jump in but not holding my breath. :(

Shipping from the US costs too much.
