I have enough Whisky in my cabinet as not to buy any for a little while, but I am curious. What are your thoughts. I think glen orrin is the name.

Reviews suggest it's value for money and possibly from the Grants stable, yet doesn't compare to the several hundred to several thousand dollar 30y.o variants.
All Aldi stores I've been to are out of stock.

I found a lonely bottle at Stanhope gardens. Was just a bit surprised by the price to be honest.

It's not going to improve in the bottle. Drink it.

I wouldn't mind to try it, but the issues with the 24yo put me off. The 40 was really well liked and people with unopened bottles sold them for well in excess of what they purchased them for.

It's not about improving it. I have 2 opened bottles of whisky. So want to finish these first. Then I will drink it.

I've read a number of review in UK and Europe saying the Aldi 30yrs Old Whisky is very drinkable and is very easy to spoiled nearly $100 down the toilet pretty quick, I wouldn't buy it if this was very drinkable and not enjoyable (n)

@Drubbing lol, I tend to only have one. Yet, I had the same type for a little while( 2 bottles in a row). So wanted a bit of variety.

Far too much restraint. I've 4 bottles on the go...
Only four? Try a dozen or more.. I am not even really sure.

Off the top of my head what is open in the cupboard:
  • Dickel #12 Bourbon
  • Elijah Craig 12YO Bourbon
  • Hochstadters Rock & Rye
  • Auchentoshan American Oak
  • Glenmorangie Original 10
  • Glenfarclas 105
  • Springbank 10
  • Aberlour 12
  • Dalwhinnie 15
  • Heavy Water vodka
  • Extra Zytnia vodka (in the freezer)
  • Bicardi Rum
There must be more in there I am forgetting. Probably a bottle of Makers up the back, maybe some Luksusowa vodka.

@Monsta_AU

Maybe I should come and visit. Help you with some of these.

All that and still yet to offer me anything beyond water when I visit? :p
Which reminds me, I have to catch up with you sooner, rather than later mate :)
Got something with your name firmly written upon it.
