You can do that, or simply use imgur.com or one of the other free (or even paid) image hosting sites so the overhead is not met by the other site.

I'm certainly not a mod or admin, but I post across a few forums and use imgur.com (with a registered account) to cross post. It integrates really well on phpbb/xenforo style systems too.

It's a great idea, but works ONLY, if the person looking at it is also logged into the site you are piggybacking from (in this case TSD, but same for other sites).

I would also strongly suggest imgur.com - it is free and you don't have to register - just upload and copy/paste the link

Free, and I'm working on the "easy" part.

Grr, keep getting the "Something went wrong, Please try again or contact an administrator." message.

Try dropping this into the insert image Icon (Picture frame) at the top of your post
Code:
https://imgur.com/wGUNDMR.jpg?1

When you upload to imgur, click the 'get share links' and ensure you copy the URL with the .jpg extension or add it, it will work every time.
