I have been offered a Black Mottled Escher, from the Escher mine in Thuringia. It is about the size of a barber hone, and has a slurry stone. Price seems right.
Does anyone know anything about these? I think the green ones are the pick, are the black ones worth having or should I stick to the Jnat idea? I have emailed JNS but they are away until the 12th so no reply as yet.
Context: I am looking for a finishing stone to touch up edges but will probably end up getting a full progression at a later date which at this stage will be Shapton Pro.
