Cella (& other softies)

This, Glen. I've Pifd you some stuff I just don't like but works fine; it's basic communism in action and nothing to be ashamed of.

My original post would have had a smiley or two in it if I was not aware of your sensibilities on such matters.
(And to be honest all of the stuff you have sent works just fine for me). I am probably not far enough down the shaving track to be able to distinguish the reasonable from the good from the great and of course from the ugly.
Death to the Capitalist Running Dogs and those who use more than a single blade.

Come the revolution you will be hanging from the nearest lamppost you contemptible sycophant in the service of the bourgeoisie

I have no problem with others' smiley proclivities, I just have none of my own. See, I'm more of a Socialist, not a Red at all.

I do have moderator tools, but with great power comes great responsibility. But remember, while the workers control the means of production, they do what they're told or get sent to the Gulags.

I've come across very few duds the last few years. A couple of things didn't agree with my skin, some I really hated the smell, others were meh, but only a few were complete crap. You didn't get any of those, I binned them all.

Ah the refugee from the hard right of the Liberal party is now trying to spout revolutionary slogans. A man cannot be both a revolutionary and the possessor of a vast array of valuable shaving implements. If you were truly a revolutionary you would of course dispose of your symbols of oppression and distribute them amongst those that are leading you down the righteous path. (Or is that up the garden path - can never get those two right) :)

I hear and obey oh mighty moderator - and just to clear evrything up I have used all that you have sent (still have bits and pieces left) and have been lucky enough that it all seems to have worked fine. (the only dud I have is the Berts Bees brick which I will return to once I have my lather creating in a bowl technique a bit more refined.

Glen (have a smiley on me) :)

Speaking of PIF's - Drubbing, you gave me some soap ages ago that was in a baggie, it looked rather unobtrusive, and has a really mild smell whilst managing to look like a flattened dried lambs brain.

Any idea what it is?

I've popped it into a bowl and am liking it but have NFI what it is.

Dried lamb's brain probably. I could never get a decent lather out of it.

I can't remember. Valobra perhaps? I'd have to re smell it.

Which, of course, leads to the question of why you would know what a flattened dried lambs brain looks like? I detect some very strange culinary experimentation :)

Strange! I got a package that looked like a giant bird's turd (turned out to be Valobra menthol, very nice) and although I would describe drubbing as a soap-snob you have to admit he'll stick his brush in to anything. Maybe he's got connections to people in the guana or fellmongery business. To save us the experimentation, what's minced sheep liver like as a soap, drubbing?

Ahhh, so Drubs is on the take and making accusations against Marco to shift attention from himself..... :p

I finally emptied the TOBS Sandalwood bowl, so I pressed my Cella sample in prom Drubbing. It's perfect for the purpose!

Anyhow, I had mine open to air for many months which took away that sweet cherry 'Dr Pepper' smell but left a nice mild almond. It's quite good now!

Performance is excellent as you would expect. I still prefer my creams but Cella virtually is a cream once you load up your brush if you have enough water in it. And it certainly takes the water once you do have the brush loaded up.

Can you go wrong? Possibly not.

TOBS bowls are great for soft soaps like Cella. Mine is in one too. If you've got the brick, you can get about 250g in there. TOBS bowls are a good size for loading brushes too.

Does anyone have a bit of cella they want to move on?

A mate whom i got into DE shaving loves the stuff and I just thought if anyone has excess they wanna sell...otherwise he can go get it online.

Just thought I'd try here first.

Yeah, we demand an audience for our shenanigans.
Tell them to sign up here and enter marks PIF while they're at it.

Newbies have better chances of freebies and good deals than the likes of you :D
So tell them to come and ask for themselves ;-)

Yeah that's what I told him. I gave him all of mine that I had purchased some time back as I can't stand it.

He isn't a forum person. I've tried to get him to join. Another two blokes in my office also embracing the art with my 830 and EJ86 helping them along. Buggers just won't do forums.

No matter. I'm due for more razorock soon so might grab him a block whilst I'm at it.

West Coast have it on special today here. Not a bad price for the 1kg, just worry about postage!

First-Class Mail International $21.02
Priority Mail International $42.25
Express Mail International (EMS) $52.00

Not excessive but ouch!

MensBiz have it for $29.95.
That'll do.

You mean $39.95 - which is still a great price. Everybody seems to have Cella on sale.
