Awesome, thanks Mark.
I did find a picture of the Rocket during my google searches but dismissed it.
However that pic of yours best shows that it's the same razor.
Guys, I need help identifying these.
I believe the one on the right is a 1950’s Gillette Ball Tech but please correct me if I’m wrong.
Is the one on the left a 1948 Gillette Super Speed?
Is the handle aluminum on the left one? Not the bottom knob, just the handle proper.
I'm sure it's a great shaver no matter what name you call it, I would get them and just call it "Fred".I'm not sure Toby, I'm looking at buying them so I haven't actually seen them in the flesh. I was more after the Ball Tech, the other one is just a bonus.
All I know is that it was made in England.
I agree, Gillette can sometimes be a pain in hole when it comes to all the changes and variations and names, but who would have thought that a bunch of old razors would be so popular in the 21st century?!!!Too complicared
A lot of things have got harder for us since the days when you could get a razor for a mere 6½ shillings...I agree, Gillette can sometimes be a pain in hole when it comes to all the changes and variations and names, but who would have thought that a bunch of old razors would be so popular in the 21st century?!!!

Might use the HD today. Beautifully weighted razor.
