Hello all, I have been a long-time receiver of valuable advice and reviews on wet shaving forums and genuinely appreciate the vast amounts of reliable information and excellent advice, but never posted.
@astinus4 organised a couple of wet shaving meetings here in Darwin and I joined P&C to participate in the CBR 2019 Paste & Cut Meet-Up in January. Had the added advantage of meeting @eggbert who was extremely generous with some vintage blades and gifted samples of his own.

Have been wet shaving on and off for the past 45 years, if you include borrowing dad’s razor and Gillette shave stick as a teenager. Reintroduced to wet shaving about 3 years ago by a work colleague and friend who was well and truly "hooked" and provided advice on suggested starter kit and recent acquisitions for me to sample.

The Avatar and @Holiday come from my first sample PAA - Dapper Doc because I like the portrayed character of Doc Holiday, enjoy being dapper and participating in Distinguished Gentleman Ride and other worthy charities.

I possess a very humble collection of wet shaving gear compared to most.

Welcome to the forums @@Holiday, great to have you onboard

Interested to see how you all go with those vintage blades.
Hi @eggbert, I don't know what the wet shaving equivalent is so I will use culinary terms. I am savoring and salivating over the vintage blades and cannot wait to try them but also "can't have my cake and eat it". How will I ever return to modern blades after experiencing the quality of yesteryear? BTW I am really enjoying the B&M prototypes, there is a lot of variety in those three tubs, providing a different experience with each one, and the Festivus compliments them perfectly. Did you spike the Festivus with a little extra menthol?

Thank you all for the warm welcome.

No extra menthol. There probably would have been, but I ran out of crystals sometime last year.
