Just a few pics I thought you might enjoy or at least find interesting from my recent holiday on the Atherton Tablelands.
These pics are from the Herberton Historic Village. The barbershop and the old Pharmacy were just insane, to put it mildly.

We spent a whole day, and easily could have spent another 2 days to fully appreciate all the place had to offer. MIND BLOWN,,,,, Officially!
If you ever get a chance, DO go to this place, it is truly unbelievable, and huge!
A real time excursion into a bygone era. Can't recommend it highly enough.
Apparently, the former owners of "Just Jeans" now own it, and they have invested!!

Also stopped in at the Old Pharmacy in Childers on the way home to BNE. Also pretty cool. Not as much shaving gear as Herberton though.

Bulk quantities of stuff. This is just a small sample of things I saw there. The General Store had a brand new Blue Tip Adjustable, etc etc. Nothing for sale of course. All display only.

Hope nobody steals these razors within reach of the barrier. One of them is a Slim Adjustable.

Read the ad. She left her husband because he became careless about his shaving!

Beautiful jar lids. "Who'll buy my lavender?"

"Once or twice daily use" in the Gillette ad... wow, twice daily, that must be one smooth blade!

Nice to look at, nothing hugely collectible, some of those blades on the straights ...

Thanks @TroyTools !

It's a possibility that Mrs Gargravarr might have left me if I got sloppy about shaving. She has always harboured deep suspicions about individuals who insist on sporting facial hair: "What are you hiding from?" :D

It must be really hard to be in her head down here in Tasmania, where some of the most viscerally disgusting beards abound.

Wifey would definitely leave me if I grew a) mous/pornstache b) soul patch c) fu manchu d) mutton chops e) all of the above.
At the moment I have had to grow a soul patch. I tried the Gillette slide on my lower lip and got it completely wrong. Took a really good slice into the flesh. Scab is now slowly healing, but too sensitive to shave. Hence the rather annoying soul patch. Wifey hates it!

this is exactly what is holding me back from giving the slide a crack
