After half a dozen shaves off this combo, time to refresh the edge. On a Translucent Ark with WD40; started on the side dressed to 600, and finished on the 1k side. HHT was exceptional.

Filarmónica 14 on a Charnley Forest with WD40.

Titan ACRO T.H-70 finished on a hard black Arkansa dressed with a 12k diamond plate and lubricated with soluble oil (6%).

Eiko quarter hollow on Iromono kiita koppa. Diamond slurry → mikawa slurry → running water. HHT was silent.

First trip to the stones for this razor. Set the bevel on Shapton Glass 2k, then a tomo slurry on this awasedo tamagoiro, followed by a mikawa slurry to water with a little lather. HHT was silent. First frameback shave in 30 mins!

Touchup on the Charnley. HHT was silent, so the shave tomorrow morning should be a delight!

Back to the Shapton Glass 2k to set the bevel, then to this iromono kiita with a diamond slurry to water. Looking forward to tomorrow's shave!

Cleaned up this Hellberg, and then took it through a full progression. Shapton Glass 2k → Kuromaku 5k → Gouken 8k → Black Shadow with lather. HHT was great, looking forward to taking the old girl for a waltz in the morning!

This was NoS, but the edge was degraded, so set the bevel on Shapton Glass 2k, then to the Iromono kiita: diamond slurry, then mikawa slurry then water. Looking forward to the shave on Tuesday.

Houken Yasuki steel on the yellow kiita; diamond → mikawa → light lather. Shave was sensational!

Friodur 17. Tried a JNat combo for the first time, now that I have a decent idea of what each stone is capable of. Started with a tomo slurry on the Awasedo tamagoiro and went down to almost water. Then made a mikawa slurry on the Iromono kiita and worked all the way down to water before finishing with some light laps on a little lather. HHT was sensational along the edge. Shave tomorrow morning will be fun.

A Titan ACRM-2 T.H.60 on a hard black Arkansas in western red cedar case with 6% soluble oil as lubricant. A lovely edge, not quite as keen as one off diamond pasted balsa but a little more forgiving.
