@stillshunter I have about 7 GDs and 3 strops remaining with more on the way, I hone all the GD blades using that method which give me very nice and consistent results.

I've sold about 35 (first batch were 66s) since October last year and I haven't had one come back for it's second free hone just yet. I still see them in the SOTD photos from the guys that bought them in the fb groups. It's a no brainer imo.

There is a Japanese pottery place near me in Artarmon. I took some photos of a shaving scuttle to see what they could do. I'm pleased to say that the result was pretty cool.

That was Shaver Heaven barbershop lathering up nicely in it. Come on winter!

Received this brush, was a birthday present to myself. It look better than the photo.

I have used it to test lather a few times and it performs great, it is well made, was packed great and the maker was in touch a few times to ask if it has arrived as the tracking system at his end wasn't working.

Thanks for the birthday wishes. Yes it is the metallic gold swirl one. Just had my first shave with it and it is a great well made brush. Felt great on the skin and worked well.
