Bought two more Yaqi's. They arrived 2 days ago from Yaqi Australia. Well packaged too.
The Evil Zebra (Snow Leopard knot), and the Rainbow (Pony knot).
Both are 26mm and I have posed them beside a Timeless to give you an idea of size.
The other Yaqi's (on the outer sides) are both 24mm. A Tuxedo (Black Marbled handle, right of photo), and a Happy Hippy (Alpine knot).
Used the Rainbow twice now. It's a lather monster...holds a lot of lather. I like the longer handle as it lets me get down into some of the soap tubs that are a tad tall (and the shorter handles bang against the sides when I'm lathering up with soap).

What’s the loft height on the rainbow handle next to the black and white.

Looks like 57mm loft and what’s the backbone like, I’m hoping is not too springy and too floppy.

Cheers 🥃

That's the Rainbow, Pony knot.
Loft is 55mm, and handle length 77mm.
Nice plush knot. Lovely to use.
Not too springy, and not too floppy!
Not bad backbone at all.
I'm using various soaps. Fenchurch probably would be my 'hardest' soap and the brush handles that very well.
It's a very nice brush @SpeedyPC and not too dear either. Typical Yaqi well built brush.
Go on...you know you want to (a bit of enabling going on here).

Edit: 200+ reviews. No one says it 'sucks'.

I’ll wait further review after you lather various soaps before I get one in my den

Nice brushes! A Yaqi is also on my Christmas list. Trying to decide between 26, 28 and 30mm. I like big brushes but seeing some 30mm examples in the hand does make it appear a bit excessive. No reason to go small with synths as they are so frugal on soap anyway and don't hold as much in the knot as a badger... and my Omega 48 is only just big enough!

26mm synthetic knot is fantastic for face or bowl lathering, only trouble you have to be very careful to keep the loft height between 55 or 56mm that way is not too springy or floppy and it’s splayed perfectly depending what kind of synthetic fibre knot which is not easy to find a perfect synthetic brush.

Your face must be as big as a horse's, and just as hairy if that's the case!

The trick with the big Omega is to not splay it much - just use light pressure and let the extra loft do the work instead. Works for me - but not with all soaps / creams - just most of them.

hey @Blackie how are you getting along with your brushes?

I have a yaqi tuxedo know and was wondering how the snow leopard, alpine and pony knots compare to that...

Used the Snow Leopard (Evil Zebra) last 2 days. Very nice brush, and it is very similar to my Tuxedo...possibly a wee bit softer 'face feel'. It lathers well, and not floppy.
The Pony knot is my favourite (at the moment). Bit of a lather monster, and very plush feel on the face. I like it a lot.
Holds a heap of lather and it splays nicely too.
The Alpine is only a 24mm brush, and feels like a slightly stiffer Tuxedo.
It beats up a very nice lather, and very quickly too.
It would be the one for LOTD shots.
I've used only this one for a few months and have found it quite OK.
None of the brushes are scritchy. All have a nice face feel.
Just be aware that you should shampoo a new brush to get any remaining dye out of them. Only the Pony knot 'needed' the shampoo really.
It washed out a very slight brown colour first up, but clean on 2nd go. All the other brushes washed clean with no dye showing on the 1st wash.
If you only wanted one brush my pick would be the Pony knot, but any of the others are a close second.
I'm happy at the 26mm knot size. Some guys might like the 28mm.

Righto.. enable mode engaged

Good man!
I think you will enjoy that knot.
What size did you get?
The Rainbow/Pony knot handle size is a bit bigger than the other brushes too, and I quite liked that as I have big hands.
Not too much into dainty!

I went for the Rainbow handle pony knot 26mm.. my other two synths are the mew brown (mokka handle) and tuxedo (mysterious space) both of which are 24mm knots so nice to have something different
