SYD Next meetup???????

I could make the weekend of the 14/15 possibly if that is ANY help?
No help whatsoever @Mark1966 .The Sydney meetup has certain standards (I don't even go for fear on increasing their bogan quotient) so why you think a happy clapping bean counting interloper from CANBERRA would be of any help is beyond me. (I suppose the only use that could be made of your post is as an indicator on when not to schedule it) :) (Hope you had a pleasant festive season).

Not helpful per se Mark no, in the context of trying to get something penciled in (or the cell populated as the case may be) in relation to a NSW meet-up... :D

That being said, now I have had the chance to dig at your territory in a round about way, we did miss catching up the last time you were in Sydney so I think Sat 14th Jan or possibly Sun 15th could work for me even if others cannot attend. A coffee shop or such like would suffice, the SA lads have a regular spot for their meet-up and aside from the very peculiar habit of sitting in the smoking area when none of the group smoke, it works rather well.

I know @borked and a few others wanted to check out some of the scents that I have been mucking around with, suffice to say if we meet up for a coffee I will bring them all along for you to investigate Mark, if the others can and do come then all the better for it :)

Well fine then - you New South Welshmen just go and have your exclusive pow wow and @stillshunter and I will drown our sorrows in our Itchy Green Pants!

I didn't really want to drive six hours just to talk shaving with people anyway :mad::mad:

Now now General, how about some balance ?

There is no need to go amortising your rows and column's, there is still capital to be had and the contingent consideration that you can attend albeit with an experience adjustment. As I see it there is intrinsic value in your attendance and I am sure the members can unbundle their expectations given your transport cost. What I am trying to say, posting as best I can to your intrinsic ledgers is that your attendance will see un-guaranteed residual value and no doubt a useful life!

Did anybody understand a word he said?

Anyway, you local lads sort yourselves out, will be great that @gthomas04 can make it ...

Krispy Kreme is the only place I've met publicly more than once.

That's a good a place as any for a Polsilver trade I'm guessing, lots of people, easy to blend in and an ideal locale for a 'few thou of imported Pollys' to change hands

Where do you normally meet up?
In the past we have met at: a pub at Darling Harbour, a restaurant at Parramatta, a pub at Parramatta, or at a conference room in Katoomba (courtesy of @shavetheman).

I liked the vibe and freedom of a conference/community room. If we meet at a cafe, pub or restaurant we tend to overload it. Usually there's around 8-12 of us.

I know we are inching towards NYE, but given it's NSW and we tend to be so non-committal a 'sooner rather than later' effort to organise something for January or w/e is probably advisable otherwise the whole idea will probably fade and not occur for some several months. January is probably my quietest month of the year legally speaking, after that it tends to ramp up fairly quickly.
A bit late to the party (almost missed the new year!)...

I'm happy to help organise something for mid-Jan (14/15) but I'm away then so will have to pass.

The other date would be the last weekend in Jan (31/1 Feb) which is just before school returns...

I'll chat with @shavetheman about when he's available as well. We could also have a casual meet (say at a cafe) and then a larger meet in late Jan or early Feb at a better venue.

I think we were due to meet more centrally this next time. Any preference? City? Inner West? Parramatta?

I would be careful about taking your Polsilvers down Parramatta way @borked you may get robbed.

Sounds good Phil, I live in the inner west so a venue or location within an hour's drive would be ideal for me, I usually have commitments on the weekend including casework but with enough notice I will make time to come along.

Yet would clientele such as yourself feel at ease there?
I suppose I could arrange hire of appropriate attire to aid blending in :)

PumpHouse, ???, PJ Gallagher's Irish Pub, Blue Mountains Cultural Centre, and for the next one, somewhere central, like downtown Lakemba!
Do have to agree that the last one worked well, room for us to lay out stuff, socialise without worrying about others stealing shit and a good backdrp helped :)

Seen the movie Edward Scissorhands or Wolverine?
Consider what a thousand Polsilver cuts would achieve and rest assured all would be fine :)

I am fine with any venue.

@borked we seem to get a few weird stares when we have been catching up a Krispy Kemes in Lakemba and I noticed even the police showed up last time ;)

Is actually Auburnon, which is why I suggested Lakemba, we should stick out like sore thumbs there :p

If I could get a couple of weeks notice it would be good when this trainwreck of a state finally get's it shit together.....it will give me a chance to bottle up all of the 'free shit' I will bring along. As it's been so long between meets, it means I need to sample up the first APR release and the Summer scents so everyone gets plenty of largesse as it is NSW after all. Ive got an order in for another 250 x 5ml sample bottles so that ought to do us.

There will also be a LE APR fragrance for the occasion too that I will give away, something simple and zesty with lots of menth and Lemon Myrtle as a tribute to the previously unrealised, uncultivated pure comedic genius come Sysadmin that is @Monsta_AU .... I'm thinking at this point I will call it either'Camper', 'Wall-y Script' or 'KDR' but I am undecided... all of which are CS references, just in case the older blokes amongst you are puzzled why I am considering those names. :coffee:
