Not sure. Maybe the TTO next to the injector looks a bit different? There's a Fat Boy and a Slim but nothing unusual about that. Or is the Fat Boy a red dot job?

The Fatboy without a case isn't a Red Dot, I can't tell with the other for sure but think not. The TTO next to the injector is a little special...

Anybody else want to have a guess?

Hint to all the new players - It's Rhodium.

Mark - you going for that 'other' toggle? Looks very complete and you will need 4 and a half figures to play based on what that last one went for - and that didn't have the outer box, only the inside section.

A strong hint! It is also made in the USA, I asked the seller :D I will reveal all tonight if nobody else guesses first. The lot does have some other bonuses too.

Do you mean the F4 with the warranty card and instruction and a BIN of $499 or the chrome with a BIN of $749.98 or the wonderful serial numbered 'prototype' one, S/N 1230 which is the most complete I've seen of those?

I'll be selling my cased F4 soon to help pay for my D1. I have a chrome so don't need another one and while my serial numbered 'prototype' one is uncased it is a lower number - so I'm justifying NOT bidding on that one. I basically couldn't afford it at present anyway. :embarrest:

Pretty sure it's a President. If so, it's worth 50% of current bid.

Yeah, the gold proto-Toggle. $1500+ that will go for without an issue due to the box etc. Just unfortunate that it has some marking whereas the other one was pristine.

Lots of good ones out there right now if you have the cash, but all very expensive. I need my lotto ticket to be a winner!

Just spotted the 161-piece lot. There's 8 packs of Light Brigades in it!!!! Also a few very rare razors (non-gillette) and one in particular that could be worth $300 on it's own.

Also, there's a Brand-Spankin Aristocrat (Gold Slim) for $150 which I think is slightly overpriced. $120 I would put on that without worry. It's finishing soon.

Too Too easy - It is the only DE razor not embarassed to be placed next to a SE ! :)
Its a wishy washy liberal razor with socialist leanings.

(Thats my best guess anyway).

Glen and I havent even started drinking yet.

By the sounds of it you started without him.

OK, it is 'tonight' here - well, late afternoon anyway.

Here is the lot:

It contains on my view:

One Injector - ho hum
Two SuperSpeeds - nothing special
One Red Tip SuperSpeed - certainly tradable
One uncased Fatboy - again tradeable
One cased Fatboy WITH instructions AND warranty card - nice
One spare set of instructions - bonus

and....

its rhodium....

and its made in the US....

it is, a rhodium executive!

One of only two known US-made rhodium plated Gillettes. The other is the President but it has a different knurling pattern.

With the end caps still on it, which is rare, the Executive is almost worth $150 by itself - even uncased. I reckon flipping that lot in the US you would get $250 easily properly identified, cleaned and polished. I just don't have the cash and postage from OZ kills the sales a little.

So there you go, some get away!

So my hunch of an unusual looking TTO wasn't too far of the mark. Maybe I should become a collector. Then again, maybe I shouldn't. Who was the lucky buyer?

No idea who the buyer was. Some of the others know and recognise the user names but I can't be bothered!

Really the only Gillette (well not strictly speaking a Gillette I guess) I like the look of is an ABC but I dread to even ask how much they're worth or if you can even use them with standard DE blades.

So you like the ABC sets.... :cheesy:

You can use them with a standard blade :eek:mg:

How much? He asks very quietly

For you, I have a special price.....

What particularly are you looking for in an ABC Set? There are two really good threads on B&B about them here and here.

What condition are you after?

PM me details and I'll poke around in my bag of tricks.

You are like a crack dealer Mark......

Well at least I'm up front (I hope) unlike some who post threads in another forum about a wonderful type of razor they have and gain lots of interest - then just happen to have one for sale.....

Absolutely. I just had the mental image of you in a Waistcoat and Fedora on a dark street corner, and whispering to passers by "Can I interest you in some razors".

Gave me a giggle!

Ahhhh, so THAT is what a crack dealer looks like. I'll keep my eyes open for them next time I'm in NYC!

PS -note NEW signature

Looks like you've dropped a few WTB items. Only two more to go. What happens after that? Surely the collector in you will find something. Alternatively you could just become a crack dealer on the streets of Canberra. More profitable.
