Can you believe it? October already!

Starting out with Peat Cutting Monday or Peat Cutting Day which is is a public holiday in the Falkland Islands, October is the tenth month of the year in the Julian and Gregorian Calendars but was the eighth month in the old Roman calendar. October retained its name (from the Latin ôctō meaning "eight") after January and February were inserted into the calendar that had originally been created by the Romans.

Anyway - what shaving kit have you picked up this month?

I roughly got what I was expecting. Biggest positive surprise is Noble otter Nectar amisa (and wasn't sure about to get it or not). Biggest negative surprise Mikey Lee Soapworks "The kraken". They claim that "We took classic barbershop a step further..." but a huge step... it is not a bclasic barber-shop, but a classic laundry room. If they were after a classic detergent scent, they nailed it!!. And the biggest "I am not sure" is divided between king of oud and cognac and cuban cigars. The first because I am not sure about the scent, and the second because it looks faintly scented (let's see once on the face). I got that one, because I saw it so often on Agent 66 shaves

Yeah the HetV is not strongly scented - but it is lovely. I have the splash, balm and EDP so make the complete scent up!

I'll have to wait till I use then (and being light scented, my nose was probably a bit abused with other previously sniffed ones). I had the idea of "Cognac and Cuban cigar" like an after lunch or dinner table, like my family's in christmas eve, playing some card games, drinking cognac or other strong spirits and having some Cuban cigars... a much more strongly scented situation

These ones, and others, were exactly what I was expecting, and I cannot discard that some of them will end up coming in real, men's size
I actually delayed a few times the order because Trismegistus and TSM fougere were sold out, until they appeared again.

The Ultra Male smell different from the original Le Male why? because the Ultra Male has a very nice sweet scent to my nose is Pear mixed with Mint, Lavender and Bergamot from the top notes. The middle notes I can smell Cinnamon, Clary Sage and something kinda flower type scent I can't grab. The base note I can small Black Vanilla Husk, Amber, Cedarwood and Patchouli.

Edit:- I strongly prefer Ultra Male over Le Male, because Ultra Male smell a lot better.

It's the tonka/synthetic vanillas that gives the massive sweetness to this fragrance.

There is no Tonka in the Ultra Male only in Le Male and yes it does give out the strong sweetness, but, the Sandalwood, Normal Vanilla, Cedarwood takes over the Tonka to my own nose while I can still smell the Orange Blossom from the middle note.
