I recently bought a Dremel rotary tool and thought I’d try it out. I didn’t want to risk one of my better razors in case I ruin it, so I picked one of my crappy razors and went to work on it. I used a green compound first and spent around 15 minutes polishing the top cap, bottom plate and handle. I probably need to spend a bit more time polishing with the green compound. After that it will be the red compound and finally the blue compound. Anyway, here are the before and after pictures. The second picture doesn’t show it properly, but the top cap has a near mirror polish.

The Karve is one of your crappy razors?
I just think it’s overrated. I could name several razors that give ME better shaves, are made of stainless steel and are cheaper or of equal value; and I don’t have to bother with changing plates. RazoRock 6S comes with ALL the plates, is made of SS, shaves better and is half the price (YMMV of course). The handle of the Karve is nice though.
