Cut to the chase; my first Proraso disappointment.

This is the first of the new blue line - Vit E and Aloe AS cream. It works fine, creamy, absorbs well, no greasy/sticky, leaves my face feeling good.

But the smell. It's creamy plastic and not that pleasant. And it lingers. Connaughts site says it's got almond and liquorice in it. That's the only place that says that, and I can't smell either. Just plastic.

I'll probably give the blue cream a go, as balms and shave cream don't necessary smell the same. The Green and the liquid cream AS/balm are quite different.

The idea of Almond and Liquorice is actually very appealing, I have a Vanilla and Aniseed cologne which really works well on me (Lolita Lempika Au Masculin). The plastic note sounds like it is dominant. Sounds like a real shame.

Could it be a first batch issue? Maybe they mixed it in a vessel or used tools which reacted with the ingredients?

Some times it's better not to know what's in something. These new blend of italian soaps may be an example of that.
