Today’s afternoon fight update -

Was just going home and we had to return to SYD because of problem passengers. Cops onboard and all when we landed. How exciting!

Means my flexible fare was a waste between the wind and now this!

Seems we made the news too! Although the pic is NOT us -https://www.theaustralian.com.au/business/aviation/qantaslink-flight-forced-to-land-after-mobile-phone-fight/news-story/d6e371fe8a42a90749b2b111a2996fc9

A QantasLink flight to Canberra has returned to Sydney a short distance into the trip after two passengers became involved in a heated argument over the use of a mobile phone.

The Australian understands one passenger took exception to a fellow passenger sending a text message on his phone while the Dash 8 was taxiing for takeoff from Sydney just after 2.40pm.

As the flight became airborne the argument continued to escalate and the captain made the decision to return to Sydney.

Police met the plane when it reached the gate, just over half an hour after leaving the airport.

Two men were escorted off the aircraft and are being questioned.
Preparations were then made for flight QF1421 to get underway again but it was delayed by high winds at Sydney Airport.

It finally took off about 4.10pm and was due into Canberra at 4.40pm. [Actually this is incorrect - we arrived at the gate in CBR at 4:58pm after touching down at 4:53pm]

A Qantas spokesman confirmed the passengers had been removed from the flight following an argument but declined to comment further.

QantasLink aircraft are not WiFi capable like many of the 737s in the Qantas fleet and passengers are expected to switch mobile phones to flight mode before the pushback.

It is unclear if either of the passengers will face charges.

I’m sure the Darwin guys would love to use a highly mentholated ‘crocodile’ smelling soap, or a pineapple scented Brisbane one. Adelaide could be ‘church’ scented?
Darwin is tropical fruits with beer & cheap white wine the last time I visited. Maybe passion pop with a touch of FIFO.
Beer 🍺 would probably suit Darwin’s image better
There's always the tropical fruits. Mango, Passion fruit, and some amazing natives flowering around town at the moment, or if you were a bit sick and twisted, the rotten smell of Durian

Razor: Timeless 0.95 SB
Blade: Rapira (1)
Brush: Yaqi Silvertip Badger
Soap: Stirling Blu
Post: A&E Signature Splash

Wow!! Yep, I was so wrong about stirling soap.. gave it a try with the badger today and was amazed, loads of slick, cushiony soap.. I am looking forward to stocking the den shortly. Also took the timeless for a run with a rapira for the first time, took and already smooth shaver to another level of smooth, but the soap may of also played its part.

Happy shaves!!

Soap: Murphy & McNeil Claddagh
Razor: Karve SS #00003 with C plate

Having dialled this soap in perfectly, i can safely say that it is excellent quality. Slick lather with plenty of protection - can barely feel the razor blade working its magic. If you're ever perusing Maggards or ToTC in Canada (and anywhere else that stocks it) do your self a favour and grab a tub. You won't regret it!!!

Pre: Coconut Oil
Soap: Pb Henry
Brush: Master Badger
Razor: Bengall (fresh off the Japanese Natural of @bald as )
Post: Calendula Balm
AS: Barrister's Spice
Had the privilege of a visit from Mr and Mrs @bald as yesterday. Salt of the earth people and some great times were had discussing honing, shave soap and life, the universe and everything. @bald as honed the Bengall for me on his Japanese natural stone and I was very impressed with the edge and feeling somewhat enabled to go hunting for a Jnat of my own (budget permitting). The bevel presents as a sand blasted finish instead of the smooth mirror finish off synthetic stones but what was impressive was the consistency of the edge. The Jnat cleaned up the previous shave damaged edge and maintained a beautiful clean edge throughout the honing.

The shave this morning off the Bengall met expectations but was a noticeably different feel to the shave off synthetic stones. The blade feel was a softer warmer feel but certainly no less sharp. There was no loss of efficiency but probably a more comfortable shave. All in all a fantastic shave.

It's spring in Melbourne, but it's not spring weather. I decided to pretend it's warm and sunny with Pre de Provence. I like the soap scent although it is mild and I find the brush needs a heavy load and not a lot of water to make a good lather. The balm has a stronger scent. Had no trouble achieving BBS with the blade/razor combo and I had no nicks.

Pre: Glycerine Soap
Brush: Muhle 39K257 19mm Synthetic
Soap: Pre de Provence No 63
Razor: Gillette Slim Adjustable (1963) I4

Going back to Polsilver tomorrow! Nacet are basically good for just 2 shaves for me. That's 4th shave was not a good idea.

Prep: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: Saponificio Varesino Two-band High Mountain Manchurian White Badger
Soap: Antica Barbieria Colla
Razor: Wolfman WR1

Lovely three pass shave. The ABC soap is luxurious in the best possible way; a short load results in vast quantities of lather of the highest quality.
A generous spray of Chanel Pour Monsieur, and I am suitably refreshed and ready for the Conference.

Agent 66; I note with interest that you are avoiding any speculation as to whether it was it fact your good self involved in the mobile phone altercation. Pray tell?;)

Felt like using a bit of Speick today. It’s been grated up and packed into an empty D.R. Harris tub. Not much left but the stick was almost impossible to hold and rub properly. I actually prefer the loading from a tub rather than rubbing over the face. Very good soap but did get a few small knicks. Perhaps the Persona on third use was the cause anyway.

Nevertheless the Florian was followed up with some Nivea sensitive balm to calm things down.
