Beautiful Razor :)(y)
Originally it sported a gold wash which had deteriorated to the point the vendor I purchased it off decided to polish it off. I would've liked to have seen it in it's original condition. However, I was very fortunate to have picked up this razor in as good as condition as it is, and it provides a lovely shave. Being an older razor the metal sounds off a much mellower crunch when cutting wiskers.

sotd 19.10.20 Pre-shave: Hot Shower
Brush: Yaqi - Moka 24mm synthetic
Soap/Cream: Ariana & Evans - Vacanza Romana
Razor: Fatip - Piccolo SE
Blade: Wizamet Super Iridium (6)
Post-shave: A & E- Vacanza Romana AS skinfood / Lucky Tiger - Face Moisturiser

Two pass WTG + touchups = DFS+ Wizamet turned this normally not so smooth razor into a decently smooth shave. A slighly more efficient shave than yesterday. Wizamet blade still has some life in it after a hand strop.

The soap and splash are excellent. Scent strength medium to strong on the soap and medium on the splash. The scent is a big winner in my books. Really is a true Italian Calabrian scent. Its not just bergamot citrus forward scent. It's complex, with citrus lights and woody darkness. Summery and sophisticated, A&E have nailed this one, with kaizen base being a bonus. Would pair well with a citrus based scent for day and a woody for a more sophisticated night scent.

Gets a Winnner Winner (y)(y) 2020 new scent award from me.

Pre-shave: Hot water
Brush: Forgotten Art "Tarkine" 26mm Tuxedo
Soap/Cream: Declaration Grooming/Chatillon Lux Gratiot League Square
Razor: Blackland Vector
Blade: Feather Professional (1)
Post-shave: Shower

I don't seem to be able to get past day 4 with any of the Artist Club blades I've tried, which is about level with any double edge blades I've used. So the Vector is a comparatively expressive beast to run (though still much cheaper than carts), but the shave is so good, I'm happy to feed its habit.

Try hand stropping the blade.

Your also head shaving, and that is a separate shave in itself.

True, though a DE blade gets the same treatment. Never got into hand stropping (not sure why, since it came naturally with a straight razor), but I might give it a try.

I'm not too concerned though, more struck that other people seem to get much more mileage from an AC blade than from a DE. Hence my remark about the Vector being comparatively expensive to run (though not more expressive, as autocorrect seems to think)...
