Testing the waters - 1924

I'm wondering if there is any interest in this proposal.

I think there may be a few on the list who are DE users who have never shaved with an SE but are curious to try an SE razor so I have a nice clean 1924 I'm prepared to loan to 3 to 5 people for up to a week at a time per person if they undertake to ship it to the next person and the last on the list ships it back to me.

I will provide new GEM SS ptfe blades [1 per person].
The 1924 is probably right up there with the most aggressive/efficient of the SE razors but is easy to shave with.

If he can spare one ask him also for 1912 or a Clog Pruf [or both] as well as the Feather Weight. That will give you an excellent understanding of the variations available in the GEM range. I can lend you a Clog Pruf if you are interested.

Just a quick final post on this. If there is anyone else wanting to try an Ever Ready 1924 SE let me know or just reply to this post. I will leave it to the end of the day so I can post the razor out tomorrow.

He is in Sydney. There is planned a Sydney meet up to occur after @Monsta_AU gets back from Malaysia.

It is actually a great thing to do. @alfredus has a stunning collection of SS DE razors, @khun_diddy has a great "nose" for soap and @boldsworth has an enormous collection of many and varied vintage razors....... our tastes are really different. I'm more McGyver in my approach.
