SYD Western Sydney Meet in March

@Mark1966 I would suggest a 1960 bottom dial FB & and a toggle complete with case.

This is turning out to be huge - almost tempted to buy a plane ticket!
I think @borked is bringing a Toggle (no case though [emoji6]).

You mean like these -

Yes. So do will you be buying beers for the armed guards or are you more of a "don't drink on the job kind of guy"?

You've got all the good toys don't you!

Dorko 7 blade cartridge, everyone is too embarrassed to say they want to see it :p

Well I have a few - BUT @filobiblic has the Kirby Beard razors ;)

Rats! Sorry buys but it is in MEL at the moment :(

I could bring the carts though if I can get there

Message from Con:

Just a quick heads-up folks!

Those of you intending to make a purchase and have your order brought to the meet-up, please finalise your order by 10am Friday 11 March. Make sure to select "Local Pick-Up" as the shipping option.

I will have some 'scratch n dent" products at reduced prices for those interested on the day. These goodies are absolutely fine, the packaging is aesthetically challenged however. Alas, these are the perils of international travel.

Do I need to visit Chullora with my steelcaps again ? :p

Regretfully giving this one a miss guys. Feeling crook as anything.

Hope it is a blast!

Bummer! Not good to hear mate. This is shaping to be the Sydney meet to be at with people coming from interstate. Hopefully we'll catch up at the next meet. Get well soon!

It was, and damn you missed out.

We had a special guess appearance from none other than @Mark1966 and the National Gillette Museum - and he put on a great show with around 35 pieces or razor porn being handed around the group. A number of NOS pieces with outer shipper, inner shipper plus the mint case & razor, and all inclusions. Madness.

Great to see @Anthony making it also - Please pass on my special thanks to your good wife for enabling this session. There was also an embarrassment of riches available from Con in the scratch & dent. I am going to be spending some serious money there soon.

Special mention to @tullfan coming down from the mountains too, excellent to meet you and I hope you took away a few goodies, I know that @borked was loading you up at one point. Hope you enjoy the blades.

Thanks to all that came out, I think we missed a few members that could have made it. Next one will be a more eating out occiaison - I will line up some Burgers that will knock your socks off.

Great to catch up with friends old and new. The razors were only a PART of the massive show and tell. There were brushes and soaps going in all directions when I arrived.

Now THAT is a get together !!!

What a day.
Arrived not long after 1300 to see @Monsta_AU and his better half, @SydBJW along with @Anthony @shavetheman and his better half well into conversation and a plate of chips.
Pizza's & burgers were ordered, drinks were consumed, along with @filobiblic & @MrT arrive, @Mark1966 backed in a Semi load of conversation killing razors (seriously, a meeting with @shavetheman & @Monsta_AU in absolute silence due to what's being displayed, is the greatest compliment that can be afforded, which was achieved).
@tullfan graced us with his presence for his first meet and @Mark rounded out the troops.

We indeed are a backwater to the rest of the world, yet what transpired was a world class event of display, trade and sale items, company and banter :)
I personally want to thank everyone that made the effort and afforded themselves the time to attend and make the day what it was.

It was a great day. Sorry you couldn't make it @Hocky27 - hope you are feeling better!

You just wait until next time I pay a visit - will have something even BETTER than those with me - right @stillshunter ? ;)
Are you American per chance, as that would be a text book shock and awe manoeuvre :)
I forgot to ask you, if you would appreciate a chance to take the Pils for a spin.

Just a belated cheerio to all those present at the Sydney meet.
I have always been impressed at the friendliness shown by the members of this forum and Sunday was no exception.
My thanks to all for their willingness to share experiences and I left with a nice swag of blades, wipes and samples from very generous members.it was great to finally put a face to the Avatars. I was bowled over my the seemingly endless supply of razors Mark 1966 brought from Canberra, plus also meeting Con,Kim,Anthony and all the other usual suspects.
On another note I was late as I went to my Granddaughters 1st birthday, she came up from Canberra to show all her 4 teeth and she now can take 24 steps(I counted 'em) unassisted.I am a very proud, and yes, probably boring Granda

You should visit your granddaughter IN Canberra @tullfan so you can see the whole collection! Visitors more than welcome.

Glad you could make it, enjoyed meeting you and the others.
