So everywhere I see this x-stroke to get full coverage on the blade with a strop thinner than the blade.
Am I missing something or is this needlessly complex. What is wrong with a simple diagonal down and back? Starting at the top left, move down and to the right. Roll over and from where you stopped (bottom right) come back to the top left.
Isn't that the same thing and removes the need to move the blade during the roll over? If the goal is even wear on the strop. Switch it around each day.
