as we all know derby are a very prominent blade in wet shaving, often recommended to beginners in the hopes of scaring them off so we can keep the good blades for ourselves.just kidding.

Over the years I've found myself always having a few tucks of derby around as I find them to be a suprisingly serviceable blade and not just at the price point (which is crazy low BTW) but the just work for me for some reason.

How many of you have derbys around?
Would you try them again?

Not my cup of tea. Only tried the most common Derby Extra green (teal) and find that they don't last long with me or feel sharp to other similarly priced blades.
Positive was they felt less chatty than a Astra SP to me.

Since Derby produce the half de blade for Barbers I assumed my local man would use them. Last haircut I had he pulled out a large box of half DE Astra SPs and said these are better.

Again YMMV :)

Not a fan of the Derby Extra. They're not bad, but they're pretty ordinary. The Derby Premium are a noticeably better blade for not much more cost.

I'd still rate an Astra better than either of the Derbys though.

I'm totally the opposite, I Don't get on with the Astra SP, the stainless are fine however

I found them perfectly serviceable. But then, I'm yet to find any blades I can't get along with.

This is not an invitation to the smart arses out there to find one, BTW. :)
