The Razorock Mamba is available now. Just a heads up as we all know the marketing strategies they use (making things in small supply to keep people wanting).

Yep, mine's ordered plus some 'figgy puddin' ... I couldn't resist the name although the soap may be rubbish (?).
I see they now say a 2 - 3 day delay due to a large backlog of orders.

Got mine ordered early this morning in a rush before they were all gone (~1200 units).
Stung by the OZ shipping tax so ~$115AUD down.
As of now there are some left.
Now the happy wait

In hindsight I should have purchased two and shared the postage costs.

Postage sucks regardless. So I’m going through shipito.

Seems this time around there is really enough for every one - still available...

Still not a great $$ advantage going through a local shipper.
Maggard's have a slow shop option that is very cost-effective compared to Italianbarber's fixed faster international options.
I personally like Italianbarber's products but the shipping prevents me shopping there, except on these types of occasions.

I'm betting @alfredus would have still been awake to ensure he got #1...thats how the SA uber elite roll

Pass on the razor though, not my cup of tea at all.
Not sure that @alfredus was awake as early as you would think @todras. I do know of another guy in SA that was though. Frantically pressing F5 on his keyboard. As far as I can tell he snagged one of the first handful sold .

YMMV as that razor doesn't have blade tab exposure I can't get a close enough shave under my nose ATG. Due to the high curvature of the head also I can't go ATG as the irritation is too much.
So a past for me.

Let's see how the new mamba goes with the new reduced profile, if not then BST.

A matter of opinion. It was far too aggressive for me. Moved mine on very quickly.
I have ordered one of the new mambas. Hopefully it's more to my taste.

I found the Wunderbar to be amazingly smooth despite how efficient it is. Not a daily driver for me but nonetheless an excellent razor. I have held on to mine.

Really looking forward to receiving the Mamba and hoping it lives up to the hype.

I tend to stay away from ib generally as their postage charges must involve profiteering. It's a slower service than Maggard economy service (which is very cost effective).

This remind's me very much of a certain discussion here about Wolfman shipping charges.

I understand, if you don't like a seller because of his/her services, products etc - but what you are saying about the postages charges is simply not true.

If you go to www.canadapost.ca and calculate the shipping costs for a parcel to Australia, you will see, that the cheapest option with delivery confirmation is 44.63CAN$ (even for a 100g parcel)

Yes he could send it cheaper without delivery confirmation, but if that parcel gets lost, you could file a paypal claim and he would have to refund you everything.

He is certainly not making money on the shipping, he just refuses to take the risk of parcels getting lost.

Again: if you are unhappy with certain other practises, I hear you - but the shipping costs are certainly not his fault.

I've ordered things from other sellers in Canada and they've charged much less than IB, with tracking too.

I doubt IB uses the same service as a retail customer. E.g. the cheapest parcel Post in Aus is about $8 and yet men's biz gives free *tracked* postage for orders above $20. Himage used to offer free postage on all orders... i asked them about it once and they said due to volume, they get very discounted postage rates which makes it viable to offer free postage.

IB would have massive volumes given they are one of the largest suppliers so whilst the rates for a retail customer might be expensive, i can't buy that ib rates are genuine.

Their practices are also not fair game with the whole low quantity to keep demand high.

Everyone is free to make their own decisions and i respect that. I don't care for their practices, not their lack of customer service (when my parcel took over 3 months to arrive and they couldn't track it and refused to refund).

Figgy Pudding does smell awesome

I was just reading the rave reviews that are piling up fast on Italian Barber about the Mamba. If they're anything to go by this will be a fantastic razor.
