Nice shave, I am getting more from the soap. The scent is nice (improves when wetted and lathered) but I reckon I won't end up loving it. Cheers

Razor: Vintage Gillette NEW head on TSW Bren handle
Blade: Vintage Gillette Super Stainless 'Aussie Spoiler' (8)
Brush: Tony Forsyth P&C LE Platypus shaving brush
Soap/Cream: Australian Private Reserve (APR) Lixiviant shaving soap
Aftershave: Australian Private Reserve (APR) Lixiviant splash
Fragrance: Australian Private Reserve (APR) Lixiviant EDP

This really deserved a photo - but I wasn't that organised.

A truly remarkable scent in a top performing product. Ahhh ...

Razor: Masonic Ever Ready 1914
Blade: Gem SS
Brush: whipped dog silvertip
Soap: Cella
Post: Borked

Nice shave for a social event tonight.
I’m sorry but once what world does Cella smell like almonds, clearly someone has replaced the artificial almond smell with artificial cherry smell... clearly then Dr Pepper is in fact Almond milk.

Mohammed who makes Grooming Dept is from the Bay Area of California :)

I would not have included Vetiver in a Yuzu Citrus fragrance myself as it tends to be fairly present in this composition in particular, the inclusion of Eugenol (Clove) is also unusual. None the less it is interesting and the Vegetal soap base is a good performer. The fragrance is a different interpretation of the classic Japanese Grapefruit/Citrus roster I would have to say.

Sub text received.
While in japan I tried their random off the shelf stuff and yeah... not what we are accustomed too.
Scent was interesting but performance was just odd.

The Gillette Twist is something I scored recently and thought to give it a go. I put in a Gillette Super (vintage) blade and boy what a nice shave I got.

I had to do some TLC and restoration on it but she came up good and works beautifully.

Coupled with a regular soap and the old reliable Semogue 1305.

Additionally I got the Hugo Boss cologne as a Birthday present niiiccccce scent

Pre-shave:- Cold Water straight from the tap
Brush:- Maseto Extra Density 2 Band Finest Badger 24/54mm knot
Soap/Cream:- Mitchell's Wool Fat 2x
Bowl:- Captain's Choice
Razor:- GEM Micromatic Bullet Tip
Blade:- GEM Personna SS PTFE Coated #2
Post-shave:- Thayers Witch Hazel / Lucky Tiger Aftershave & Face Tonic
Fragrance:- YSL L’Homme

I didn't realised the GEM Micromatic Bullet Tip behave very much like an R41, because I still didn't have very much stubble on my face after nearly two days of growth......WOW :wideyed::jawdrop:
I still wanted to shave so bad today, I didn't want to wait until tomorrow otherwise I'll get bored waiting to remove my bloody stubble off my face on the third day.

@Bozley82 Out of curiosity how do you find the Timeless Bronze razor? I'm well aware YMMV but I'm in search of a 'premium' razor without breaking the bank, so to speak... I don't mind a milder razor and for its looks they have me sold but I'm not sure it would be any better than say my Rockwell 6S which is a great razor but feels a tad heavy for my liking. Happy shaves!

Brush: Davinci
Razor: Edwin Jagger DE89
Blade/s: Astra Green + Super Max
Pre: PAA CAD
Soap: Edwin Jagger Menthol
Post: Australian Cream Tea Tree Oil

An OK shave, down in part to the dull Astra tuggin at my hair so replaced with the last Super Max. Nothing special but got the job done and looking to my next shave with my new Charcoal Goods razor heads, once Auspost get their act together :banghead: Happy shaves!

Pre: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Castle Forbes pre-shave gel
Brush: Semogue Owners Club Boar
Soap: Barrister & Mann Leviathan
Razor: UFO Goliath / Colonial General Head
Blade: Feather Pro (2)
Post: Myrsol Emulsion
Splash: Barrister & Mann Leviathan
EDT: Barrister & Mann Leviathan

A Goliath and several Leviathans in this shave, not to mention a General and a Castle. Sounds more like Game of bloody Thrones!
Was a bit pushed for time, but I've learned the hard way not to skimp on the pre-shave, so I kept it to 2 passes.
The B&M soap performance was exceptional. The scent was stronger on the coffee than I expected, but really interesting.
The Feather Pro was much smoother second time out - not the slightest sign of claret.
Very close for just 2 passes and a few buffs - DFS+. Wonderful post-shave feel - I'm grinning from ear to ear :D.

First shave of the new year and I'm dark and mysterious today. BBS in three passes with no pickups required. Love you, General. HeV lather is a beaut with this efficient beast.

Oh, and the APShaveCo has been sent to Tony. So you won't see my 30mm tuxedo for a while...
