Yes and no, we had a scare at the 20 week scan.
They found a focus inside babies heart and scheduled another scan which we had last week and thankfully it has completely resolved and baby is perfect.
Other than that been busy with fixing stuff round the house and just getting the house in order :)
Very glad to hear baby is OK

Soon will be moving to their winter quarters, that are at the bering strait and Alaska waters.
Short tailed shearwater? aka Mutton bird.

I can't believe people eat them they must be oily, not the mention the toxins they would bioaccumulate.

Well, people don't actually eat them that much. tipically, when the harvesting season start, people eat them everyday for 10 days, then one every two days, then one a week, and then they keep plenty of birds frozen that will be thrown away the next season to clean the freezers and fill them with new birds, because it is something not really nice (I have eaten them, a compliment from Bass strait people for the muttonbird researchers....). Their smell is not nice either, but i love it (I have been chasing this kind of seabirds for almost 3 decades, and love the oily fishy smell, it reminds me of so many great times at sea or at islets)
But people eat chicks, so not much bioacumulation, and the chicks are feed a lot on krill and small fish (we have been deploying animal borne cameras to see what they are eating on their dives, and i have inspected some vomits from the adults when it occasionally happen).
There is market for products based on their oil, soaps, balms, and even omega-3 pills (quite expensive btw). I reckon this is because the birds by itself for eating are not so well sold. There is barely meat on them, only oil, and not the most tasty one.

cheers

Been doing flooring and built a cot yesterday :)
Feels good to make some progress

Yeah^^ it’s my understanding that babies a kinda useless initially so we won’t entrust a bear to preventing his falling onto the magnificently layed floors, additionally my child will not need toys, he shall ponder on the great works of Mackey, Hall, Pike and Wilmshurst amoung others.
The astral plane shall be his playground and we shall explore the universe, together, for all time!

And now for something completely different.

I had my pre employment physical today dispite having been working for the past few months in the job.
I have been advised I need to wear my glasses at work, as I wear my glasses exclusively at work I found this unsurprising, I hope my employer feels they got good value from having me off for a half day to gather this valuable info..
:) come on weekend!!

I put some of my Masonic razors up on a online museum and came across this little tid boy about King Gillette.

Gillette was part of a broad socialist movement in the USA in the 1890s, who wanted to use the profits from his safety razor to finance his beliefs in a new socialist system.

put a full exhaust system on my vy over the last couple of days. all i can say is why didnt i pay an exhaust joint to do it?. i never thought it would be such a massive job. on the plus side the car sounds heaps better and has really picked up power on the bottom end and every little bit helps the gen3.

dn't want to mess, but I have lost a cousin in a car accident (was roadkilled by another car after the initial crash, when he went out the car). My best cousin of many! Not seen him for years, as on my last visit,in 2015, he was on vacation. His wife birthday at the same time.... what shit!!!

I am certainly focusing some aspects in a different way lately, actually before that happen. I hve barely see my parents lately (nothing bad or wrong, just me), so imagine the rest of my family, and this cousin was, well, I wont rank, but he was a really nice fellow. Last time I saw my parents was 3 years an a month, and the previous one was almost 7 years. What kind of dick I am? :(

Things like this serve as a reminder, just reach out and make those connections when you can.
It’s hard in life as everyone is busy and the superficial always is grabbing for our attention as it always feels more immediately important.
Its not your fault mate, relationships are always a two way street and everyone assumes there will be more time.

I know how you feel however, my Dad passed away a little over a year ago suddenly and even now every day I feel racked with guilt for not doing or saying things.

I remember installing a set of 4-2-1 headers, high flow cat and a catback on my buddies DC2 with a twinloop rear muffler.
It was very straightforward but when your buddy nicks off to see a movie with his girl while you fix his car it’s pretty frustrating, but getting to put some colour on the new stainless steel was it’s own reward :)

I wish it was straight forward but I had to basically empty the engine bay of nearly everything. After doing that I had to drop the steering rack out of the way as well.not fun at all but it sounds so much better and goes so much better now the pain has started to fade.my mate that was "helping" me ended up pissed to the eyeballs and I had to get the missus to drive him home before we had even finished
