Best song

Any 'best song' list has to have somebody mentioning this song, with this version being a more recent cover -

Malcolm Gladwell's Revisionist History Podcast episode (http://revisionisthistory.com/episodes/07-hallelujah) reignited my interest in this song and my wife pointed me to this version. The podcast is worth a listen too.

Geez @beerhog that was different!
ha ha yeah they are brutal but bloody good fun at the same time.im not a big fan of most of the current crop of metal bands but these guys have a 90s sorta feel that i enjoy.and a funny cartoon still sucks me in like a 5yo.

Anything from linkin Park Hybrid Theory

I like the use of mozart requiem here

You are one sick puppy ...

[it really is a clip (and song) of its age isn't it - so many elements that may not have aged well]

A pity that said below artist didn't do a cover of it, as I've no doubt it would be astounding.

It's aged like fine wine my friend, some strange individuals thinks its turned to vinegar but they would be wrong. It's really is only getting better with age (My ageing most likely)
I use it as a test clip when working on theatres, the ADFA cadets really seemed to "appreciate" it

Appreciating the lip-synching model I think you mean ..,

Three brilliant young British musicians, who weave prog-rock and electronica amongst historical archive soundbites to create concept albums. Their albums are worth checking out, particularly "The Race For Space" and "Every Valley". I recommend cranking the volume for this song - the drum track is excellent.
