I've got one week to figure out the razor /soap/blade combo for a days filming with ABC.

We have been invited to appear on Gardening Australia focusing on the food my 5yr old daughter and I grow together and project fun we have together 😊

Probably do the time tested mild and effective 50's Brittish Gillette rocket/voskhod/squadron 👍.

You know the saying...the camera adds 2hrs of stubble lol

Just thought I'd share. Pretty high privilege to be asked to go on. And I'll use it as a chance to get a project completed for free too.

Anyone watch the show or have elderly parents that do 😁

Congrats @Chad
I used to watch it sometimes with my dad when i was young. We liked the old english chap as he did the most segments with the veggies, which is all dad cared about.

I flicked onto it one day recently and seen Hagrid's twin on it, maybe ask him if he wants to learn how to shave, but i liked his enthusiasm for gardening.

Lol I was hoping Costa was coming and I could show him my shave den and get to him. But sadly he isn't. My kid LOVES him. He's the most genuine and nice bloke going around.

The man you mentioned with your Dad was Peter Cundall. A living legend of a man...."blooming wonderful! "

That's his name - i'm sure a quick google could have told me.

WOW nice!! How exciting!

I purchased my flat last year. It's 3 bed+study and 3 balconies but not enough space for my dream organic veggie garden unfortunately :(

I'm in the middle of building an 8m X 4m shadehouse, which is filled with around 20 different wicking beds. Just got the shadecloth to put on now, but sprained my ankle so a few weeks away still.

Nice! 8x4m is a very good space for a veggie set-up...lucky you!

I was considering a new design vertical irrigation veggie garden but in order to get sufficient produce from it, an entire balcony would be taken up so I decided against it because one balcony is already used for washing/utility and we can only use the other two for sitting outside.

Huge space! You can do heaps! We have only 3 beds each roughly 2mx2m. Last summer we grew over 150kg of veg just from those!

We've done the city cbd apartment thing. Was hard on us as we just craved grass under our feet. We used the city gardens a lot just to hang out with the newspaper and a coffee.

Yeah, I can understand that.
Luckily we are in a gated society so we do have a park downstairs but even then I've put synthetic grass on my big balcony as we spend a lot of time there.

Organic lentils and legumes are easily available so no issue there.

The organic veggie garden is what I'm missing in my life!

No instagram here, I'm getting too old for all the social media apps.

We've made wicking beds out of 1000L IBCs, old decommissioned fridges and blue barrels as you can see from the messy photo. There are too many nasties in the soil up here to do well otherwise. A couple more fridges, and blue barrels have been added to the mix since this photo was taken.

Fantastic!
That's really a great idea! I'm so jealous right now!

Worst part is that I work from home and have the time to maintain my own veggie garden, but no garden to maintain!

exciting stuff getting on tv it will be something you can look back on with your daughter for years to come.i watch the show once in a while but most of the stuff you see on the gardening shows doesnt really help me much with my gardening because im mostly aquaponic based besides a herb garden that just keeps growing with basically no input from me which given my tendancy toward a having a brown thumb is a good thing.
