2019 Tim Keech Memorial auction for the Cancer Council

I haven't done a tally or anything and I am sure we will see some figures for total amount raised but even so I wanted to congratulate P&C on another successful and gratuitous memorial auction this year. It looks like a substantial amount was raised once again.

Special thanks to all of the organisers and in particular @alfredus. I know how much work he put in to this and I also know how much it means to him personally. Congratulations on another successful event.
Echoing @nsavage - big thanks to @alfredus, @Mark1966, @Monsta_AU, the whole P&C community for their generosity. I thought I was blown away with last years effort but today truly demonstrates how special it is to be a member of this awesome forum!

Where the hell have you been Baby Wookiee, don’t tell me you’ve been too busy chasing your mother milk.

Again thank you all for your support, help and donations - the generosity of this community still amazes me (y)(y)(y)

I hope I have now contacted all the winners - if you haven't heard from me, please send me a message.

First donations are also already rolling in and I have started to attach receipts to the threads.

Once all donations are in, I will do an exact tally, from the looks we are very close to last years great result - thank you all again very very much!

I surrendered as soon as you pulled out the that red emoji 😛
Are you telling me you’re scared of a bloody little rooster

@Razor Burn well done for snagging the Tony Forsyth synthetic. I surrendered as soon as you pulled out the that red emoji 😛
Thanks @astinus4 . Their were some very generous bids made for some awesome gear and for a while there I thought I'd miss out on snapping up one of @Tony Forsyth s wonderful brushes.

No thank you, nice work donors, bidders and for your time @alfredus & @Mark1966. Congratulations all.

I am a little lost for words ATM. Just want to say a big thank you to everyone. :)

Hi @alfredus I have donated $1600.00 as I don't like odd numbers. I donated in two lots of $800 as requested and have emailed you both .pdf.

Ill include my address for posting of the brush, please keep the razor for next years auction where it should sell for even more as it will be 'vintage'.

To anyone involved in the auction, particularly you my friend thank you deeply and sincerely. It's very refreshing to see the 'community' come together and to have people show their hearts.

Let me know if I inadvertently bid on anything else and Ill send the funds through immediately :)

Wow - you guys came in fast and hard!!!

Almost all donations are in - only 3 missing from 2 winners - one has already contacted me to expect it in the evening today so it should be a wrap soon...

Stay tuned for the total amount ;)

Very quiet around here today - post auction blues?

Now I have ended my work day, I have some time to tap out a response to this years event.

I am very pleased to see a very successful conclusion to the Charity Auction once again. My thanks to all that have participated in bidding and winning, but especially to those putting their hands up to provide goods to auction. Without you all there would be no Auction and for that I appreciate each person and donation of goods very deeply.

Special thanks to @todras @NobleOtter @Tony Forsyth @Arnold J Rimmer @Substance as members here. Additional thanks to Brian @ Charcoal Goods, Darron @ Wickham Soap Co, Ken @ Palladin (holy crap it was an awesome brush), and Avalon Pottery.

Additionally, I want to again publicly thank the driving force behind the Auction, and that is @alfredus who I have given complete freedom to run the Auction each year. I don't even need to say anything, he just does it and delivers each and every time. I am sure you will agree that there was some really special stuff up for grabs this year, and add to that all the administration that it takes to keep this running and he simply delivers each year. Well done my friend, and on behalf of the entire forum membership your hard work in this and other areas, I am now bestowing the Orange Tags on your account.

For those that don't understand - @alfredus now has full moderation capability right across P&C, just like @Mark1966. (y)

2019 Auction Winner tags will be applied in the coming days. Big ups to @gabba32 for picking up the box of GBE's - they will be on their way shortly.

Shave on!

All donations are in and and...drum roll...wait a minute, is there something missing???

Yep, forgot about myself...as I couldn't pull another Platypus out of the hat

So now...drum roll...drum roll...the total funds raised this year...drum roll

4347.2 AU$ (and we beat last years effort)

Thank you again everyone who supported this great cause - it means a lot (y)(y)(y)
