DOTD! What are y'all drinking on today.

@Monsta_AU likely is of similar mind after witnessing another loss for our team.
Strong and keep it coming sounds like the answer for all that ails a fellow tortured Berries supporter.

Nah, I like me some peat, I have Octomores from 4 releases and one of my favourite whiskies was the Octomore Event Horizon from Feis Ile 2919. Also some of the Port Charlottes absolutely magic. Aged Froig rocks too but the price makes the eyes water. Well that can be said for a lot of whisky now. Luckily I go to tastings to make up for my small amount of consumption otherwise I’d never get to try much at all.

That’s a very interesting bottle, never seen this or tried it. I’m sure you’ll enjoy the smell and taste of the Whisky with 55.7% alcohol must’ve been a bloody good smooth kick.

It was lovely, smoothed out by the 12 years and very unusually for a peaty, aged in sherry cask. I’d love to be able to head over for the festival to taste all of the festival releases. It was topped by SMWS 127.44 “Cantina Mexicana” which Beat out Golder, Redder and Blacker and a 27 year old Laddie.

That looks like a vintage 700ml? They are all a piddly 500ml now unfortunately. Still taste great though.

No, just the piddly 500 - but nice ...

Budget whiskies are hard to come by if you're into peated varieties, so when I spotted this new Wee Beastie from the Ardbog at my local Dan's for $84, I figured it was worth a try. Very fresh at 5YO, it pushes my buttons. I don't need (or even always like) a huge amount of age in my whiskies, but there's no hiding the quality Ardbeg pedigree in this offering. Definitely (y)(y)
