Alcohol free aftershave

Ok I have made up an aftershave how ever it is milky not clear. Due to not having any alcohol and the ingredients used I can not make it clear.

My questions is.... would you buy an aftershave that is not clear?

Love to hear your thoughts on this.

Most of the non alcoholic splashes are not clear, it's normal.

M&M actually separates between each use but does not bother me because an awesome aftershave with good strength and longevity and only needs a shake and good to go.
M&M warn you before purchasing that certain non-alcoholic aftershaves require shaking before use.
Better than balms that are not meant to separate but do with the heat and take a lot of effort to emulsify and never fully recover from separating.

I added an emulsifier to mix it up so that wouldn't really happen. The big difference is the fact that is now a milky substance, but thanks to a friend of whom I visited earlier I got to see many other aftershaves that are milky.

yes i have a few A&E that are milky, doesnt t bother me at all, as long as it dries clean and smells good, good ingredients are a major bonus

@CraigE a splash for LUST must be close hey

A&E aftershaves have alcohol. Even some of the alcohol based splashes benefit from a few quick shakes.

Just remembered Stirling Witch Hazel Aloe Menthol is also milky but not in a clear bottle so you do not notice until pouring into the palm

Hmmmmm... Actually I am wearing it...
If you're really concerned than maybe just use darker bottles like A&E and no one will really notice as main thing for me would be the quality of ingredients and how they react to my skin, not necessarily how it looks.

IMHO there's no need to go too complex as most fellas are happy if it smells nice, lasts a while and feels hydrating but then again I mostly prefer balms & lotions but the occasions I enjoy a splash I prefer them simple but YMMV... I'm certain to give it a go so good luck! (y)

I have a heap of aftershaves with a milky look to them and need a good shake before use so it doesn't bother me in the slightest.

As recommended by Razor Burn, use amber bottles which are the best anyway as they cut down the amount of UV getting to the liquid which can limit their shelf lives.

This might be throwing a spanner in the works, but the chemist in me is wondering if adding the oil-phase ingredients gradually to an emulsifier (eg lecithin?) similarly to making a mayonnaise might make the combo more stable. (Disclaimer: I'm not in the market for an after-shave, but I don't mind mayonnaise, except when it's curdled :p)

My wife said the exact same thing last night. Well, I think she did, I kind of switched off there for a while.

Rethinking it all now. Had it looking better but then the scent wouldn't stick. So I have ordered an emulsifier and doing a retrial.
Balm will likely to be released next week how ever.

Has an emulsifier in it already but it wasn't strong enough with the coconut oil.
