AusFarce or AusFantastic?

So great! What do you think of the scents?!

They are double-delivery and double-clearance at the moment. So if you only have one clearance per day, you now have two.

You also have delivery on Saturdays in the 4 weekends leading up to Christmas. Inner city suburbs will probably get a Sunday delivery this weekend depending on how many items are going through the system.

Wow! From now on they are called....

AusPicious..

I liked that [emoji1][emoji106]

Well I won't get home till Saturday arvo Filobiblic, so you just enjoy.... Enjoy those soaps while I just think and anticipate. I hope you have really good close shaves.. With those awesome soaps... Well I guess they're awesome... Not sure yet...

How the mighty have fallen....

The lady at the local Post Office today confirmed that there are problems with the AusPost parcel service. She doesn't know the details (she's only a front counter staff) but it's enough to exasperate her and the rest of the staff there. So it confirms what we already have experienced - AusPost parcel service is having problems this year. (For example, Parcels have taken almost 2 weeks to go from Melbourne to Sydney.)

I have had fairly decent speeds inbound through Chullora of late. Got a package posted in SE QLD on Monday today. Another package posted in BNE got posted slightly later on Monday and missed the truck I guess. It made Chullora just after 7am this morning but after the delivery to local depot (leaves 5am), so I guess it will be there in the morning.

Outbound of Chullora is a different story. I have had a parcel sit there for 4 days before scanning out. That one was the subject of a complaint and referral to the Ombudsman.

I haven't seen where the hold up is on my parcels because the tracking probably hasn't been updated. I've had some go through Chullora and others through Granville. Not sure why when they all used to go through Chullora. I wonder if they are having issues with some of the new processing centres. They had been doing building works (extensions) on Chullora last year. I wonder if it's something to do with that...

Ausfarce is more like it. 2 separate packages sent from Melbourne to Sydney. In the first photo notice how nothing moves for a week until the customer, me, makes an enquiry.

Australia Post, bless their hearts, are crying poor over delivering letters for 65c yet they can't deliver a $7.20 parcel close to their service level agreements.

Although I've complained about AusPost in the past, my frustrations have usually been due to the local delivery contractor who has a shitty attitude. It's common for me to find fragile stuff (marked as such) just thrown over my fence (it's 2.5m high) into my front yard, even when they're supposed to be signed for. I do, however, find the service staff at both of my local post offices to be absolutely fantastic in both their positive attitudes and their willingness to go the extra mile to resolve problems. It really seems to be a case of the back-end letting the front-end down at the moment.

SR71 for me please...

I ordered the mrs some sunnys for her birthday, from an italian site. They are unreal (No.. the sunnys are real).

Free shipping, Euro prices with discounts, and they use Fedex, with tracking that ACTUALLY WORKS... WORLDWIDE.

I ordered on Monday, they were shipped Monday night. I got them this morning.

It was a bit iffy for the holidays, as I saw they landed in Singers yesterday arvo. But FedeX still got them on a flight from there and to Perth airport and me - inside 12 frickin hours. Same story with every order, and I've bought maybe 3 pairs the last 2 years.

As you may guess, I don't buy sunnys anywhere else.

From Otticanet, Drubs? I think you've vouched for them before, and they have decent prices on Persol sunnies. Does buying them from overseas screw up the warranty or anything?

Yes, Otticanet.

Of course, you still get warranty. But they'd have to go back, which costs money and takes time, as I found when I wanted to exchange a pair I didn't like. When I'm saving $100+ on Oakleys, I'll take the chance on having to return due to warranty issues. But I've never had to claim warranty on any sunnys yet.

If I am being a certain retired gentleman then I have yet to receive anything of interest (was it he plans for my very own stealth fighter?

Hmmm, definitely Ausfarce - unless you have moved .,...
