Another year, another 365ish shaves. Better post details here so we know what is happening!

There is no set format, although, in case this helps, personally I include:

Brush:
Soap/Cream:
Razor: (setting in parenthesis if adjustable)
Blade: (shave in brackets)
Post-shave:
Cologne: if applicable

So one of my posts might look like this -

Brush: Vintage Simpson Butterscotch AS2
Soap/Cream: Le Pere Lucien
Razor: Vintage Gillette L1 Slim Adjustable (7)
Blade: Vintage English Wilkinson Sword (4)
Post-shave: Le Pere Lucien
Cologne: Penhaligon's Halfeti

That was my first last year, browse through the 2016 SOTD thread if you are still looking for inspiration.

Photos, of any quality, are encouraged but not essential, thoughts and reflections on the shave are most welcome too.

Happy shaving guys

Occam's Crushed Lime Pre
SJOL 26mm ST
Gillette Fatboy
Feather
Acqua Di Parma Shaving Soap
Acqua Di Parma Aftershave Balm
Acqua Di Parma EDT

I prefer this format

Pre-Shave:
Brush:
Lather:
means any soap or cream
Razor:
Blade:
Post Shave:
Fragrance:
means either EDC or EDT

... which is perfectly acceptable :) No set format required.

Arggg the thread closed before I could post my last shave of 2016 : /

- Gillette Slim 1967
- Polsilver Super Iridium
- Proraso Sandalwood
- Gillette Wild Rain (Bottled Manliness. If you find a bottle, keep it for yourself!)

It was a rushed shave, I went to the gym for an hour, quickly showered and did a Double WTG + ATG before visiting my Grandad. Slim set at 5 for the WTG and 1 for the ATG. Overall, a fast yet pleasing shave.

Happy New Year fellas! See you on the other side.

Brush: Vintage butterscotch Simpson '46' reknotted in 'pure'
Soap/Cream: Santa Maria Novella Firenze Crema Da Barba
Razor: Darwin Standard Razor
Blade: Personna 'Lab Blue' (4)
Post-shave: Santa Maria Novella Firenze Lozione Dopo Barba - Tabacco Toscano

I'm claiming this as my most expensive SOTD every -

Brush: Vintage butterscotch Simpson '46' reknotted in 'pure' - this was a bargain buy BUT the start of my butterscotch collecting
Razor: Darwin Standard Razor - well, obvious really
Soap/Cream: Santa Maria Novella Firenze Crema Da Barba
Post-shave: Santa Maria Novella Firenze Lozione Dopo Barba - Tabacco Toscano

Both the SMN products were purchased from their shop in Florence - I'm claiming the cost of the family holiday to get them as part of the purchase price :)

Lovely way to start the New Year.

Happy shaving fellas!

As per normal I'm running late !!
Phone call from the wife an hour early to meet her plane from Canberra, old habits to the rescue.
I wanted a straight shave as I had 3-4 days growth. No prep and just a wet brush on the face then load the brush and lather.
2 passes and beautiful DFS++
Soap mine
Razor Japanese 6/8" Rituky
Finished with Macadamia nut and Lemon myrtle
with still enough time to get to the airport. I think !!

Stealth Slant
Polsilver SI
Doug Korn Envy White
Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements "Clubguy"

Great first shave of 2017.

@nsavage what's the Clubguy aftershave & Cologne smell like any good? I'm told is very similar scent to Clubman Pinaud Aftershave Lotion IF you can compare them.

I have not smelt the Clubman Pinaud sorry but have heard the same said by others. All that I can tell you is that it smells fantastic. The soap is a great performer and the after shave is outstanding.

Brush: Morris & Forndran 28mm Blonde Badger
Soap: Haslinger Sage
Razor: Gillette Slim Adjustable (7)
Blade: Voskhod (2)
Post-shave: Speick A/S Splash

Looks like a great start to the new year from everybody here. The M&F brush has a touch of scrub with nice soft tips and great flow through. The Haslinger is an excellent addition to my travel kit. I've been shaving with straights for the last few months so the DE makes a nice change.
