Took the DD&Dovo for a spin today to compare to @bald as expertly honed razors.
Managed to cut whisker but not with the smooth ease and glide of a perfectly honed razor.
Cannot beat the smooth after shave feel of a straight BBS
The DD should be nice and smooth. Always wanted one of those but they were stupid money back when I purchased most of my straight razors.

This one was a very generous PIF from @miner when I bought the PILS.
Both were very generous offers.

What’s Hippie Blend’ like?
Very PG friendly.
I get loads of Jasmine and patchouli with a touch of sandalwood to round it off. To me it reminds me of spring when the flowers are out. Plus the performance of this soap is really great too. One of my favourites from down under.

Shower
Feather Artist club non folding
Feather pro blade (1)
Proraso red
Omega 48
Nivea ASB

Shaved off the three month isolation beard today. It ended up being more maintenance than shaving to keep it neat, as well as more itchy / painful, regardless of products used. Feels better now.

it came off in whole sheets with this razor, which was quite cathartic. A 3 pass WTG DFS+. There is definitely no better way to remove a beard than a straight...

Warm water , Olive oil soap
Plissoft
Game Changer .84 , Astra green 1
TOBS Royal Forest sample
Milkman aftershave " Winter Woods"
Ok shave but have used better creams
Astra pairs well with GC but Feather is far and away a better mix.
Milkman a/s ..fantastic..Aussie made and relatively cheap with very good ingredient list

Pre: Coconut Oil
Soap: Pb Green Dwarf (No:34)
Brush: Omega 10048
Razor: Boker King Cutter
Ahh, that's better. Had to do a rerun of the Boker with a different soap just to make sure my assumption of yesterdays sub par shave being soap related was correct. The other alternative was my honing of the blade Friday night. :cautious:
Today's shave was much better, with improved cushion and glide leading to improved confidence and efficiency.
The 10048 is slightly disappointing. It's like an old straw broom compared to my 10083 which is much more luxurious. Bristle quality in the 10083 appears to be superior though that didn't stop the 10048 producing a lovely lather with the Green Dwarf albeit with a couple of lost hairs. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
