The 2021 Paste & Cut Memorial auction for the Cancer Council will run most likely in October this year - sorry for the delay, we blame it on COVID-19 but it is a range of factors.

Another year has passed since we lost our dear friend and member here @Draco Noir/Tim Keech after a long battle to liver cancer - he will be always in our hearts and thoughts. Of course there have been other members here who have passed away, Canberra local @Nico being earlier this year.

After two very successful years, we want to again honour Tim and others, by trying to raise funds for the Australian Cancer Council - and as always we need your help to achieve this - so save your pennies.

The exact dates for the auctions will be revealed soon, but most likely they will run in mid October this year. We are again very sorry for the delay.

Watch. This. Space.

UPDATE
Opening for bidding: 12 noon, Sunday 17 October

Bidding closes: 12 noon, Saturday 23 October (unless auction extended, see rules)

Was wondering what happened. Thanks for keeping us in the loop. Look forward to it.
Echo @Rami as was concerned that nasty Covid may have delayed this year so happy to read its still going ahead!
Thanks again to all involved and look forward to what should be another special event (y)

Whats the go with the auction, is it just a thread we bid on over a day or whats to expect?
Do i need to plan a day off from work and family🤞
Somewhat excited to be a part of it after seeing what was around for last years one

It goes for several days until a nominated finish date/time. Unlike other auctions, this one is to raise money for charity, so the finish time can be extended if there's sudden interest. By all means take a day away from work and family. Also be prepared for an extended sojourn in the doghouse afterwards.

I've published the proposed auction terms, same as previous years, so people can see how it will work.

Great news!

I forgot to acknowledge a donation from @Holiday

We have also received confirmation of involvement from Mensbiz

Specially commissioned pottery from Avalon Pottery is being thrown as we speak ...

Thanks to @Mastropiero and @Rhinehoth for adding further opportunities for people to empty their wallets for a good cause.

Don’t forget to fork out your life insurance and your superannuation retirement policy to donate your money towards charity, even and if you can’t out bid against the highest bidder.

Only and IF you really really want it very badly.

Ummm, no, we are no recommending that nor that anybody bid more than they can afford ...

BUT ...

If you know of any cashed up friends who should get into wet shaving - drag them onto the forum for the auction!
