With two new cabinets being picked up on Saturday so I can store my razors in one layer not multiples I've taken a couple of days off work to clean up the garage where they live.

Encouraged by a mate I also decided it was time to get rid of my last collection from my teenage years. You can see the eBay listing here.

I never realised there were so many, do you think I might have some OCD tendencies?

I think you've already answered it by asking the question. Collecting is not my cup of but there's nothing wrong with it at all. We all get OC about things. Don't know if it's a disorder but I just reserve the right to occasionally pull your leg a bit.

Lol....that is quite the collection Mark.

Please tell me there are some mini army shaving kits in there ??????

Ok we have seen the razor collection from your adulthood, the model collection from your teenage years, now where have you stashed the worlds biggest teddy bear collection from your childhood. :0
You know it is still somehwere.

Actually I only have one Teddy Bear. It is still in excellent condition :)

Come on! I bet your mum still has boxes full of your dummy collections.

Nah, I think I spat them all out.

She did have copies of all my school reports. Not helpful when you end up marrying a teacher and she KNOWS what those comments really mean ;)

You mean something like:

Year One " Mark enjoys gathering things - so cute to watch"

Year Two "Marks obsession with collecting items sometimes interferes with his learning".

Year Four "Mark now possesses every single pencil from every class and teacher in the school - He refuses to share claiming vintage status for them. Could you please persuade him to return some."

Year Five

We replaced the pencils, as Mark kept himself occupied most of the term categorising the ones he'd collected, by age and condition. He also made small display cabinets for them in craft class. I suggest you meet with us to discuss...

Nice work guys!

While we are on the subject exactly what is war gaming?

/Kicks sand over your toys

Grown men playing with dolls mostly

The easiest way to describe it without boring you to death is to think of it like chess. You use a range of "pieces" with different characteristics and seek to defeat your similarly equipped opponent by satisfying a predetermined objective.

It is sensational fun.

/dusts off toys and helps eggy find his teeth

We can be sensitive about our dollys! :p

That's a lot of tanks Mark!

Did you ever wargame with them?

Yep :) That was what they were for!

I remember one Christmas getting 5 model M4A1 tanks and having them in a production line as I assembled one section, let that dry on one tank went to the next etc. All were built that day and painted the next ;)

Well, since you asked ...

Except instead of boring chess pieces you have cool tank, AFVs, artillery and direct fire anti-tank weapons, squads of infantry and specialist forces - oh, sorry, was getting really geeky there ...

So I have 10 watchers - I hope it is not JUST you guys and there are some real buyers having a look!

Oh ok, I stand corrected. That sounds really intereszZzZzZzZzZzZzZ

Nope, don't think I would have got that as a kid let alone now.

You live in Darwin and have Vyvyan from the Young Ones as your avatar. I am not surprised! :p

The Darwin thing is not through choice.

I can only think your parents had recognised your tendencies at an early age or were conducting a bizarre experiment on you. You know the sort of thing "Lets give the kid 5 presents all the same and see what he does". I would suspect upon seeing what you did - setting up a production line of the same model - they either decide "No more children Our DNA has a problem" or "Lets try again lightning cannot strike twice in the same place". :)
