I have only ever bought feather blades. I shave about twice a week. First shave is too sharp and I get a few nicks. Subsequent shaves are a dream.

Any suggestions on what to do or a different blade to try?

I like the Astra Green blades, get a nice comfortable shave with them.

Buy a sampler pack, or 1-2 blades of a variety. I've used http://www.tryablade.com before. There is also https://www.razorbladesclub.com/ (I haven't used them, so can't comment).
I hesitate to recommend you something, because based on how differently people react to blades considered similar, it's really down to personal experience. Something most people don't like (and therefore wouldn't recommend) might be what works best for you.

Nacet or Gillette Silver Blue would be my picks.
They're what I moved to after feathers.
I too find feathers too harsh now.

Honourable mention to PermaSharp and Polsilver Super Irridium.

Just get the Gillette Nacet ;).......Trust me.

@Rami if you’re keen send me a PM and I can send a tuck of Personna Reds your way. I got 100 of these not long after starting out and I enjoyed them (about half) but lately I’ve felt there are better options. YMMV of course!
