Japanese whisky

Yamazaki 18?

Nice. But to me it tasted so close to the hibiki, although I did detect a hint of oiliness which I read about, it was tasty.

Is the price over there ridiculous like it is here? It went from around $200 a bottle to $1000 after it won an award.

Well, I had a friend pick up a bottle for me at Hokkaido, cost was 350 or so. Have not seen in Tokyo at all.

@Rami some great stuff their.

You can also pick up some great bourbon in Japan at good prices if you have had enough of Japenese whisky ;)

Should have thought of that, but used up all my allocation :)

here is a novel concept. Would be great to try lots of single malts without having to buy full bottles.
