Why am I not surprised @SpeedyPC :)

I lathered a bit on my neck only to test ; you were not joking about the scent
It actually feels quite slick and would be probably be good to shave with but the scent is just unpleasant. Not sure if I can bring myself to shave with it

ARKO! and Lilac Vegetal - the PERFECT combination ...

Found a little package hidden by my front door this morning. Funny how I was home all day yesterday and with obvious signs of being here, and no idea parcel was delivered until finding it.
Anyways, seller advertised it as 1936 Aristocrat, however recent comments before I received it in the "What do you have in the post right now?" thread, said it might be 1938?
Definitely used, and it shows, but still fully functional, despite a little plate loss, flea bites and scratches.

Missing a hinged blade case, if anybody has one to sell?
Wasn't able to find exact representation meeting all the below specs on MR Razor's site, something was different across each example I've researched across the internets.
So maybe a mystery "Australian Market" bitsa?

Details as follows if anyone can nail it down. Exact #No. maybe??

Brit. Pat. No. 430 030 Made in England, under the base
Rhodium plated, is presumed?
Flat base plate
Open Comb
No markings at all on handle
Wings on centre bar
73 grams
Shiny metal case, Burgundy velvet/ or felt. Different Gillette Logo to what is under the razor base plate

That case colour most seen with the solid bar #15 Australian set 1948.

The razor looks to be this

Gifted to me this week by my father-in-law. What a great guy! (y):)
TTO collar at top of the plastic handle. Made in England. W 3.
Is this a "Knack"?
How does the plastic handle come off?
I might turn up a stainless one if I can get them interchangeable.

The classic 'Knack' has the triangular baseplate -

It looks more like the 'Super Slim Twist' -

(albeit Made in England)

ID of these is all a little fuzzy though.

I have family in the good ol' US of A so occasionally I get them to help me receive stuff that ships free to them but costs a bomb to me, and thus consolidate till they fill a box.

So the goodies are:
Fine Accoutrements
- Marvel Razor (not the best finish on first inspection)
- Travel Case (optimism from a while back now gone thanks to lockdown)
- Fresh Vetiver Classic shaving soap puck

Razorock
- Lupo 72 with Haloed UFO handle
- Lupo 95 base plate
- Barber Pole handle (I bought this separately after as the Lupo wasn't available with it at the time thinking I wouldn't really like the Haloed UFO but in hand I'm not so sure now, it's actually a great feeling handle)

And for the sneakerheads, Nike Zoom Vomero 5 SE in Bright Crimson :)

Barberpole hand looks like it's had an update

Received the new ATT Windsor in polished finish with both base plates (although the M plate will be wasted as it's way too mild for me!).

Got the ATT synthetic brush with aluminium handle too.

Plus a bunch of stuff delivered to my sister-in-law's place in London:
- Simpson duke 2
- 6 fatip razors
- Parker semi slant
- semogue 820
- EJ best badger
- 36 arko sticks

Do you mean both base plates as in M/R and R/H? Or whatever the new ones are called?
I’ve got the Windsor with a CM1, SSR1 and CH1. I can get a excellent shave with any of them, M1 is just autopilot with no thinking needed. Still gets me as close at the R1. The H1 will leave me bbs until late into the evening.
If you got the new plates, I’m eager to hear how they shave.
