On the job.

Hey all,
Been a while since I posted-
I have been very busy on my last consulting gig but I’m now about to go into my last week before going on leave for baby #3

Congrats and good luck with the lack of sleep going forward. We are expecting our second in a few months so im starting to mentally prepare myself.

For this topic I'm 35 and in IT (I'm surprised nobody else has mentioned they are in IT)
Been working in the banks (CBA and Macquarie) for the last 10 years or so specialising in infrastructure project management.

Baby number 3!!!

Wow, did we miss number 2?

Congratulations 🥳
Haha possibly.. baby #2 is 2 and a bit now so Dawson joined us just prior to covid however we were doing the housing shuffle stuff (during that time I messed around with buying 2 houses and selling 3) then covid and I was working throughout lockdowns then job change, study etc it’s been a bit of a crazy time.
Fortunately I’m taking 6 months off to be with family and recharge a bit.

I'm looking after the machinery at the worlds largest coal loading facility as the supervisor of the vibration analysis team. This was last Tuesday's job, conducting an ultrasonic inspection of a coal reclaimer bucket wheel shaft.

Yeah look.. I push word documents around.. not even actual paper :p

Former teacher (Science/Chemistry) of nearly 20 years and things just weren't the same post-Covid. Am now working for a software company specialising in school timetabling. Loving working from home and no bloody marking! Will miss the school holidays though. Oh and I'm 43 for those that like to keep record.

We are locked down today as there is planned protestor action for this weekend. Morons, they stop nothing and just put themselves in danger.

We had a laugh the last time they did this, a guy posted a video of him hitting an E-stop on a conveyor and claiming how he put a stop to loading the ships. The trouble was, the belt he stopped wasn't even running at the time. All he did was alert security to his presence and he was kindly escorted off the premises and fined :ROFLMAO:
