Not really got into aftershaves, edt, edp, etc.
My only aftershave is Rapport and it's years old (maybe 20+ years!). Yeah, I don't use it much and only a wee drop when I do.
Thought I 'might' dip my toes into something better.
Can get a few here in NZ.
Looking at not too dear though (no $400 a bottle stuff thanks).
Thinking something like Minotaure edt,

or something from this list.

I can get most of these slightly cheaper than those prices but just used this site as I could get a good selection all in one place.
Or you can recommend something from all of these ('cos I have no idea what I'm looking at).

Maybe a max of $100 (yeah, I'm old and I'm cheap!).
But, you might find a gold nugget there that I 'really' should buy and kick some of the moths out of the wallet.
Thanks for any help and ideas.

Thanks @SpeedyPC , I can see a few days worth of reading in that lot!
Mind you, I have no idea what fragrance scent profile I want.
Nothing 'girly' would be a good start.
Always get a sample, if, you can to make sure if you like and you're wife too.

IF your wife hates the scent that you like, my advise is don't buy it only, IF, she like the fragrance.

Head into Nelson or if you can, Christchurch and try different fragrances until you hit on something you like. That way you will not be stuck with anything you don’t love and will save some dollars. If going to Christchurch drop into Whisky Galore. It makes it a better trip. 😊

Just bought a few cheapies while I ponder such as Creed Aventus, or maybe Grey Flannel (Geoffrey Beene).

Ferrari Scuderia Red by Ferrari 125ml EDT (top notes Bergamot, Lemon Verbena, Orange, Galbanum).
https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Ferrari/Scuderia-Ferrari-Red-25061.html
Jaguar Vision III by Jaguar 100ml EDT (top notes Lemon, Cardamom and Bergamot).
https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Jaguar/Vision-III-53360.html
Cuba Gold by Fragluxe 100ml EDT (top notes Pink Pepper and Grapefruit with a Lavender/Vetiver middle note).
https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Cuba-Paris/Cuba-Gold-9075.html

I bought these cheapies just to have 'something' to play with.
Will go out shopping for something fancy later, and when I have time to conduct a 'sniff' test (yeah, probably need to drag the Missus along too). As @SpeedyPC said...the Missus will determine if it gets the nod or not. But, to be fair...she asks me what I like/dislike about any of the scents she buys. Dior Pure Poison is the go at the moment for her.

I decided years ago that to ignore what my other half likes and to use what I like. For me this has worked. I also don't get involved in her fragrance choices as she ends up using mine anyway. Happy wife, happy life.

Always try and get similar scent profiles one for the husband and one for the wifey, it doesn’t have to smell exactly the same, just make sure the scent profiles blend in together perfectly.

That way the husband and wifey are both very happy and smells sexy together, this will help improves your marriage together for life.

Thanks @bomber.79 . I don't mind an EDT or EDP.
Can get these locally and not too dear, but was worried that too cheap might mean it's a tad crappy (?). Not aftershaves as such but would probably keep me smelling lovely!

In this case cheap means bargain. I'm surprised they don't get mentioned more often but I guess the tendency is to cringe at the mass produced products. I've got Ice Dive, Victory League, Pure Game and Team Force, they're all great scents.

PSST... don't tell a single soul ;)

They ship internationally and are great value for what you pay.
378 and fougere are my recommendations.
Buy more than one and gift them to fsmily and friends.
Buy the few female versions for SWMBA for bonus points.

The older members here can vouch for them after I ordered several and brought them to a few meetups.

Geez...I just read somewhere that Shulton was bought in 1990 (?) by P&G.
My Missus thought I bought it (Rapport) for our wedding (1974) but I see it came out in 1988 so that's probably when I bought it.
Yes, I have been sparing of it, and still have about 1/4 bottle left.
Smells great still, so can't complain about the ingredients used can I? That's about 32 years old and still going strong.
I only just found the Rapport again when we were packing to move house. Clearly a good vintage.

These arrived 2 days ago.
Missus and I sniff tested them and decided that the Cuba Gold was the winner (for that day).
First use this morning, and it's a very nice scent indeed.
Nothing wrong with the other 2 but think the Ferrari better for Winter.
The Jaguar stuff doesn't smell as nice at first, but after about 20 minutes of body heat it becomes quite nice too. Has a cool bottle too!
Pleased I bought them. Just waiting on the Kenneth Cole Black EDT to arrive now.
Early days, but if anyone wanted a recommendation for a reasonably priced, nice scented EDT then Cuba Gold is worthy of consideration.

Hi @Blackie no mention of tobacco in the ingredients but does it smell like a Cuban cigar?

Cuba Gold is an ultimately masculine scent, inspired by the Cuban cigar.
