I’d killed another pair of jeans…
So I went online to investigate the latest innovations in the denim world to make sure I wasn’t about to become a laughing stock by just buying another pair of Levi 505, what a rabbit hole I fell into- I learnt I had been doing it wrong by washing them, folding them and generally treating them poorly.

I have picked up a pair of Naked and Famous indigo selvedge in the easy guy fit.
I’ll keep tabs on how these guys break in and look forward to seeing what the denim head life is like.

The whole point of wearing jeans is so you can abuse them...else you might as well wear suits...

Well said. The only suit worth having is your birthday suit. With jeans, the only thing that is truly abhorrent is to buy them with pre-cut holes where the knees should be. Everybody knows the first place jeans go is at the crotch.

As for washing them, well it comes down to your standards of personal hygiene. I prefer not to stink.

I do, 5 days a week.

It’s something I hadn’t noticed until it was pointed out (mostly because I avoid the shops like the plague) but the vast majority of jeans sold are faded/ripped/tumbled etc to give them the pre loved look, however raw denim apparently has a whole history and culture sound how one cares for their jeans and having a set of jeans one hasn’t got diff oil on is apparently something people aspire too.

Following the guidance of some pants related YouTube specialists it was recommended to give new jeans a quick cold water soak to remove excess indigo, starch and other miscellaneous gross so I did that and have started breaking these in.
These are a little heavier than the Levi’s I have had in the past as these are 13oz but they have broken easily and are very comfortable.
