Replacing knot

I have a whipping dog synthetic shaving brush 30mm *50mm
iam starting to feel some sharp edges on the bristles ,and was wondering is it possible to replace the knot and if so what is involved doing it
Have been looking at a new yaqi 26mm tuxedo brush at about $26 plus postage , i only ever have one brush and its used every day
so do i buy new or replace the knot on the brush i have
 
Surely simpler to replace the whole unit.
I had a similar problem with my only brush, a synthetic, and I got a RR Plissoft from Vshod, same price but free postage.
N.B. no Badgers were harmed in the making of this reply.
 
Ditto with @tullfan, a replacement is too cheap. Drilling out the synthetic knot is not a lot of fun. Unless you really like the handle it isn't worth it. Live is short, move on :cool:
